DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North

We booked this hotel because Expedia filtered our preference as having a pool & showed pictures of the pool. They will have a pool - but its under renovations. So my kids were disappointed and of course no one could do anything because I booked through Expedia. So we were too late to cancel our reservation, and Expedia still shows property as having a pool. So...they get their $$$ and my kids get over it.

The hotel is cleaned and organized, except the swimming pool was closed for the time I was in and the Jim is very poor of equipment does not have many choices

The Pool was closed we had brought swimsuits for but were not informed. The Breakfast closed at 11am but the staff started oicking up food and clearing by 10:45qm Terrible since we were veryy Tired from Last night and our child came in at 10:40am to eat we paid extra for Breakfast but Terrible experience for the Price we paid per night. Would NOT be going to DoubleTree Hilton again

Loved to be there & only thing we missed os toothpaste & brush

Pool was closed, no free breakfast as advertised

Beds are nice, pillows good, tvs are really nice, nice shower and bathroom. We had a little bit of trouble trying to figure out the thermostat. It was either hot or cold. You can't just turn it off. Fan is either on or auto, no off. It didn't read the correct temperature. It said it was 25 in the room but it wasn't. So if you turned it down it turned on the AC. So I woke up cold. I should have just set it for the 25 degrees and left it. It was still a nice room.

Great location within short drive to everything. The pool was enjoyable as it has great length to it. The chocolate cookies are always a treat. After staying in just about every big brand hotel in the area over the years I wanted to try the Doubletree. I must say it was disappointing. Facing Hwy1 it is very loud, so ask for a quiete room when booking and checkin. Housekeeping seems to be a challenge in that property. Hallway carpets deserve more frequent vacuuming, same for the guest room. A lifetime first for me was to wake up with 4 pairs of someone else’s socks in the bed that housekeeping, I don’t know how, missed to clean up from the previous guests. I safe the discussion on how hotel staff measures their ‘apology’ for things gone wrong, on how the reservation was made (direct vs third party like Expedia) for another day.

Excellent helpful staff, all questions were answered immediately. Room was also beautiful. We had some loud neighbours one evening and it was dealt with immediately within moments, staff are amazing and should be commended on the great job that they do!

Clean, professional and comfortable

They didn’t give me a room when I paid for a reservation on Expedia. Left me stranded in Calgary. Ruined my trip. Had to,pay 458$ to fly home early since I was left stranded. Flair wouldn’t change my flight.

The staff were very helpful, parking was so easy, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Will definitely be back again!
