Bad rooms and fair service. Breakfast simply bad. Too expensive for the service it offers. Its location is great, though.

We arrived very late (at 2 am) actually and very tired and there was no body able to help us carry the heavy luggage to the third floor (there's no elevator at the hotel). Note it's actually a Hostel. At the time I was disrespected at the front desk and al 63 I have no intention to accept that from a kid. After negotiating with him for half an hour it happenned that he remembered he had a room empty on the groun floor. The other people in the front desk were kind on the following days. Eduardo

Hotel room was very clean and the staff were over and beyond helpful (and spoke English). The internet, which was promised to be in our room when we booked, wasn't. We were on the third floor and could only connect if we went to the first floor (the second floor lounge could connect, but was very slow). Overall, we were satisfied, but rooms were getting a little old. Loved that the cable tv had some English channels and the location was great. Close to the main plaza and close to a main road where we could catch taxis and micros. Reasonable place to stay if you're on a budget.

The day before leaving for Santiago, I called the Hotel Plaza Londres to confirm and was assured we were booked; however upon our arrival after an overnight plane flight we were told that we could not stay there, as a "delegation" had booked ahead of us, and so we were shuttled down the street to their 'Hostel'. The place was marginal on cleanliness, hot-water was not a given but rather erratic (better chance early in the morning), we shared two towels for most of the week. The old building had obviously been quite elegant in its day and could be again with much renovation, but currently the place is shabby with a very musty smell even with windows open. My main concern was the type lock-set on the door that didn't fit well and was just the push button variety that can be opened with a credit card. There was usually someone on the front desk, and on a more positive note, the staff was friendly. Only other positive comment was the location, which was just off Alameda Avenue and so convenient to Metro stops and central Santiago, however I would never again attempt booking Hotel Plaza Londres. This was our first trip to Santiago, plus we are not fluent in Spanish. We made a few attempts to locate another hotel, but time (due to business) did not allow a lot of looking. We often stay at smaller boutique hotels when traveling and can prefer them to a 4-star, however the Londres Hostel was most unsatisfactory.

The hotel was run down and didn't give the appearance of being very clean. Breakfast was basic (cornflakes, bread, yogurt and Nescafe) but at least it was included. The sfaff was helpful and accommodating. I liked the area which was about a 10 minute walk from the Plaza des Armas. I don't think it's worth the money but having seen other hotels in Chile, it seems you don't get much for your money. I don't think I'd stay there again.

when we got to the Hotel Plaza de Londres it was overbooked ( checking your website we saw that there were still tow rooms opened in the category that be booked) they shuttled us to a nearby place that was not anywhere near what we booked. Two single beds in a less than mediocre room - something a might have stayed in when I was a student in my college days. We had to stand around for an hour till they finally came up with another solution at the Hotel des Haciendas an nice place, however it was not in the center of town where we wanted to stay but about six subway stops outside (des Leones) and a 15 minute walk.!!!!!!!!! Very unsatisfactory - the whole thing was a huge hassle. We paid the bill at the Hotel des Haciendas but felt we should have been staying there for free.. We expect Expedia to reimburse us for all this inconvenience and a huge disappointment. Yours sincerely Gisele and Keith Siat
