Novotel Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel

We had a pleasant stay, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The room and the hallway had a bit smell but it is just like anywhere in China the air quality is not great. So can’t really blame on the hotel.

Convenient Hotel close to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Room was nice but bed a bit to hard for me.

Comfortable room and good breakfast. Employees were helpful in securing a taxi for quite a long journey which we appreciated. Good value.

Great hotel near airport . Very convenient

My family and I stayed at this location for over a month. The staff was extremely kind, professional and helpful. Even though we are not able to speak Chinese they always graciously supported us. I would definitely stay at this location again, and recommend to others.

Everything is good, except the shower water not strong enough! We drove there, there’s ample parking lots at basement and also electric car charges. Calling taxi is easy too...within 10 minutes the taxi arrived to pick us to town. As our car is outstation car number plate, we are not allowed to drive during 7-20:00.

This was second time i stayed in this hotel, and was again not disappointed. The staff members were friendly and helpful, checkin and checkout was very efficient. Yes, there is construction around the hotel but this did not impact my stay. Well done and thank for a pleasant stay.

I had a great stay, robot is a nice touch

My food was sent back as it was cold and returned cold, the desk manager was patronising by laughing at me and the chef refused to heat it. I got a new dish and the restaurant manager was very nice in trying to help. The room was fine. I had to complain about a customer openly smoking in reception before any staff member did anything. I felt they resented me being there as a foreigner, the woman on the desk was not welcoming at all.

Conveniently near Hongqiao with nice amenities

Swimming pool put up a mandatory requirement of swimming with cap which was at most a recommendation at other premises. No towels were provided at poolside. The staff was not friendly and making excuses when the complaint was lodged.

The property is super luxurious with Vegas grade amenities. Room was clean, beautiful and very modern . My coworker and I were offered free breakfast at check in as I think they are trying to gain customer recognition. Anyway, $70 for a room that could cost $300+ in US.

We had a very comfortable 9 day stay, the hotel is new, clean and tastefully furnished. About 15 minutes walking distance at a leisurely pace to SongHong Road metro station on Line 2, and 3 stops from the NECC, quite convenient for those participating in exhibitions. Plenty of restaurants/cafes/convenience stores across the road within the office blocks. Most of all, I would like to commend the staff for their hospitality. When I came down with food poisoning for three days, the reception team placed an online order for medicines that was delivered in half an hour. We couldn't do that ourselves as we had no way to pay on WeChat/AliPay as foreigners. When those medicines didn't work, 浩杰 from the reception team went out to get me prescriptive medicines. 顺秀阿姨 from housekeeping made me a hot water bottle to ease the pain, and Wendy from the F&B team sent hot soya milk to my room. Their actions are really heart-warming and I'd like to thank the team for their hospitality and care! All in all, I would definitely recommend a stay here for business travelers heading to the NECC.

I dispointed when I check out from hotel , people cut into line to check out.

There are lots of construction works adjacent to the Hotel. Accessibility is extremely poor. If you had a late night in the city and looking DiDi or taxi, my experience was 1.5 hrs wait and paid a fare of ¥120 to beg for one to fetch me back to the hotel. Otherwise, it is OK.

The hotel should be rate as perfect, in term of location, accommodation, warn staff, services, etc etc if not accomplish the main function of any hotel which is quiet place to sleep. Next door there are a huge massive construction site...can not sleep the whole night for the noise. Rest, as I wrote, is perfect. Maybe we will back after they finish.

It was reasonably close to Metro however what you should’ve said before I booked is that it was next door to a major construction site as a result there was a lot of dust and pollution not happy about that at all

Staff was very helpful. Hotel two blocks from metro. Very good place to stay. Building a new shopping area next door.
