a&o Hostel Copenhagen Sydhavn

Another stay at A&O Sydhavn :) We had a room on the ground floor overlooking the main road ..wasn’t one of the best locations we’ve had there but we slept well. We had an issue with our booking this visit - whilst reception couldn’t help - they gave me the customer service email who replied quickly and the issue was promptly resolved :)

Good hostel with all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. Good transport links. Clean hotel and good breakfast.

Another stay at A&O Sydhavn Copenhagen :) This hostel suits our needs..nothing fancy but a private room for the 2 of us with clean room, white linen & towels Shower gel, hairdryer. There’s no wardrobe or drawers but there is a stand with a couple of hangers and a tall open metal unit with shelves (the pics of the rooms are accurate) There’s no cleaning service of the room but you can get clean towels & linen from reception. We always sleep well when staying here. No AC or ceiling fans but I don’t recall finding it too hot or too cold when we’ve stayed, & we’ve stayed in all seasons. Convenient for the mainline train station called Sydhavn (3min walk) or the new Metro (7 min walk) ..there’s an app called Rejsekort that is great to use for easy cheap travel and can used on WaterBoat as well :) it’s a good place to stay even tho a few metro stops out of the city centre.

Good family room, fun activities for kids, good location

The room smells sweat . The beddings were not fixed . We have to put covers on the mattress and pillows . Budget hostel but can improve more on providing new fitted sheets. Fitted sheets were very worn out.Goo for just a day.

Room could’ve been cleaner, but the staff was so helpful that I was able to overlook that. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice.

This was an inexpensive place to stay but is on the south end of Copenhagen. It does have the metro near by.

Breakfast was great , everything you need and very tasty. Rooms are nice and clean. Locations is perfect, metro and train station are very close

Metro 2 blocks away, convenient.

Been here many times as a place to sleep when visiting relatives Sluseholmen. This time we had to change room as luckily before we unpacked, I noticed we couldn’t close the curtains (as well as the metal post that has a few coat hangers on it was missing) It was soon rectified with a new room. We always sleep well here. There’s white towels, shower gel & hairdryer. The linen is clean and fresh. It’s a basic hostel but suits our needs. I would add that they now have automatic screens to check-in at reception - my observation would be that staff should wipe the screen regularly for finger marks.

Another stay at A&O Sydhavn :) Speedy check-in :) On the 4th floor for a change. Didn’t mind walking down the stairs but took the lift on way up.

staff are so friendly. clean room and the location is perfect. highly recommended for families traveling too. we enjoyed our stay here. we would definitely come back.

Another pleasant visit to A&O in Sydenham :) This is our port of call when we visit our family in Sluseholmen - we only use it to sleep in so we’re happy that it’s a hostel with no frills as it keeps the price down. It’s clean & beds are comfortable, we always sleep well. There’s no automatic room cleaning now so you have to request it if you want it. When you want a change of towels/bed linen you can collect at reception. There’s no wardrobes only a coat stand with a few coat hangers & metal tall shelving unit. There no AC or ceiling fan - but we’ve been there in all seasons & not noticed a problem with temp. There’s a hairdryer in bathroom with shower gel. The shower is easy to operate & we’ve always had hot water with good water pressure. There’s a new Metro that’s recently opened that will get you into the city centre in a few stops. We downloaded the app Rejsekort which is super easy to use & it’s cheap to travel the metro. (even cheaper if you’re a pensioner ;) There’s a continental style self service breakfast for around £10 pp. There’s parking on site for a charge paid at reception. If you want luxury and pampering this is not for you but it suits our purpose which is why we return.

We had a fantastic stay here, it's close to public transport and there is a supermarket walking distance. The staff were all so helpful and it has every amenity you need, as well as a comfortavle, relaxed vibe.

Staff was not the politest. Place is loud. Price is reasonable if you’re looking for just to crash.
