This hotel is great and a lovely surpirise. The views are lovely and gardens kept immaculate . Its quiet clean and the staff are really nice and friendly. I will gladly stay here again as its just so peaceful and relaxing and parking is not a issue. The supermarket down the road if you need anything is only 2kms max and local train and bus the same distance but the hotel is situiated in the countryside and for me that was great..

Sonnerupgaard Gods is a great little hotel. We stayed there two nights. Beautiful old buildings and surroundings. With areas for meetings and corporate retreats as well. Sits a little over one mile from the train station that can thane you to Roskilde, Copenhagen, etc. About 1 1/2 miles to the town where there are a couple of restaurants, shops, and great little grocery stores. It is about twenty minutes to Roskilde and about 45 minutes to Copenhagen by car. Behind the hotel Is a beautiful pond and wooden bridge that leads to the castle mound where the original building stood, but had burnt down in 1731. We loved it and will go back there. Since we were there in early September and there is no A/C the room was a little warm but with the window open it had a nice breeze come through. I would say in staying there in summer they could use a small fan in the room and it would be perfect.

Other than the fact that there was no elevator to the second floor of the hotel everything else was great. Then I saw the view from our Balcony overlooking the pond, it was stunning. It was so relaxing. Too bad we couldn't spend more time in the hotel as we were in Denmark for a Wedding

Quiet accommodations in a country setting outside a small town. Our original 2 rooms were on the second floor, accessed by a tight, circular stair...unmanageable for us seniors with heavy suitcases and walking issues. The staff switched us to a first floor suite with 2 rooms including a kitchen, which worked out great.

Jeg valgte stedet, fordi det var muligt at tilkøbe morgenmad. Det fik jeg også (kl. 7.30) for en måned siden, da jeg sidst overnattede her. Men efter bestilling blev det nu oplyst, at jeg først kunne få min morgenmad kl. 8! Det er jo så ikke muligt, når man som forretningsdrivende skal videre til møder. Endvidere var vi kun to i hele bygningen og i stedet for at give os værelser i hver sin ende, så havde personalet tildelt os værelser lige ved siden af hinanden. Dejligt når der er toilet og bad på gangen, gamle, utætte trædøre, hårde trægulve og voldsomt knirkende døre. Så jeg blev vækket 3 gange i løbet af natten af min nabo (som retfærdighedsvist virkeligt forsøgte at være stille i de umulige omgivelser). Tænk hvis der bare havde været 5 gæster i bygningen. Men det er selvfølgelig positivt, at personalet prioriterer sin egen gode nattesøvn, så de kunne sove tungt og udhvilet frem til at betjene de kunder, der var tilbage kl. 8.

Der var ekstremt lydt. Meget larmende døre, hårdt trægulv osv. Så hver eneste anden gæst på gangen eller udenfor på p-pladsen vækker en (vinduerne slutter ikke tæt, så der er lige så meget lyd fra granitstenene på p-pladsen, som sad man lige ved siden af). Dårlige vattæppe-"dyner" og ingen tv på værelset. Bad og toilet på gangen. Ingen personale til at hjælpe ved hverken ind- eller udtjekning og det oplyste telefonnummer blev ikke besvaret. Havde betalt 200,- ekstra for morgenmad, men der var ingen mælkeprodukter overhovedet til havregrynene eller cornflakes eller kaffen. Så relativ lav comfort. Til gengæld et ekstremt smukt og meget, meget elegant istandsatte faciliteter og meget rent alle vegne. Totalt set et lidt for dyrt ophold ift. manglerne.

Fik et lille værelse som lugtet gammelt da jeg kom.. toilet og bad på gangen er ikke lige mig en anden gang.

Perfekt betjening og godt værelse. Rengøring mangelfuld. Der var skidt i vindueskarmen og skraldespand var ikke tømt, men fyldt med beskidte stofklude og emballage.
Lås på værelsesdør er af gammel type og ville kunne dirkes op i løbet af få sekunder.
