The hotel itself is looking a bit tired but our room was spotless and clean. The staff were so lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was hot and tasty. The location is amazing. Fantastic place to stay if u don't want to spend loads of time in the hotel.

Check out guy was very indifferent / did not say anything to us..
The location is great, overlooking the seafront. Parking was free and we had no trouble getting a space. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main shops/restaurants in Cowes.
Our room was spacious, but very stuffy due to the window being quite small and its location being unable to let air through. Thankfully there was a ceiling fan which helped but could have been a bit stronger.
We had room only so cannot comment on breakfast.
There was a lovely balcony area overlooking the seafront and they were about to set up some extra garden furniture (with parasols) on the other side of the reception area, allowing for more outdoor seating/space.
There was a kettle in the room, with tea/coffee (and extra available in reception).
Toiletries were a handwash and an all-in-one hair/body wash.
A great location for the seafront.

Overall very disappointing. Bedroom was ok but hardly a Seaview looking over rooftop, good hot water though and comfortable bed. I was aware it was only bed and breakfast but not told there would be nobody on ‘site’ after 5pm until a email arrived the day before. Could not access outside space after that time which would have been nice. Room only serviced on one morning, maybe I should of asked!

Tired decor, although some en suites have been slightly refurbished. Carpets are very poor and stained. Need cleaning if not replacing. Breakfast selections poor unless you want a cooked breakfast which looked much better than the other options. Only natural yogurt and very limited cereal options. No fresh fruit other than fruit salad.
Low cost budget place which does the job but don’t have high expectations. No aircon in the room I had but it did have a ceiling fan.

The hotel is being rescued so it’s very basic. Bar and restaurant closed. Bit 1970s. Good luck to the new owners. They use minimum staff and cannot yet exploit the real potential. Eg hairdryer broke down immediately and no-one on desk.
You get what you pay for which is fair, but minimal. It’s really look after yourself AB&B.
Would I stay again. Yes if budget was the big issue. No if we wanted atmosphere and attention.

The hotel is very strange and you have to check in online then you get given a code walk to your room and on the wall next to your room is a lockbox where you enter that code to get your key to get into the room all of that takes a very long time and it feels more like a Airbnb rental than an actual hotel.
The bar has no drinks to sell and we soon found out in the town that the hotel has recently shut down and reopened under new ownership.
My hunch would be the new owners have never run a hotel before.

Great location for walking to Cowes centre and for the chain ferry to East Cowes. Comfortable room although very hot and impossible to turn the one radiator (in bedroom) off.
Decent breakfast although some of the cooked items could have been hotter. Overall I would recommend and be happy to stay again.

We booked 2 sea view rooms for 3 nights. Only one room had a sea view and the bathroom in that room had black mould around the ceiling. The other room had a very old mattress and the bedding was old and thin. The pillows in that room were flat. We checked out after 1 night and will not be back. Whilst the staff were friendly, this hotel needs refurbishment, new mattresses, new duvets, pillows, blankets and linen. Mould is injurious to health and no hotel of the calibre that this hotel claims to be should have it.
