Hôtel Mercure Paris Opera Grands Boulevards

We experienced a significant hot-water issue during our stay in Apartment 2. The tankless water heater would provide warm water for approximately two minutes or less before shutting off completely. I notified the front desk around 10:00 p.m. on the day we arrived and was told that someone would inspect it the following morning. Before leaving the hotel the next day, I reminded the front desk about the problem. However, when we returned around 10:00 p.m., the issue had still not been resolved. I reported it again that evening and once more the following morning before we headed out. I eventually found the boiler inside a closet near the toilet. Since there were four of us, one person had to remain by the boiler and repeatedly turn it back on while the others showered. Someone finally inspected the boiler while we were out the following day. When we returned that evening, we were informed that a replacement part needed to be ordered and that the repair could not be completed during our stay. The hotel offered to let us shower in Room 105, located on the other side of the hotel, but we declined because this was not a practical solution for four people. Unfortunately, not having reliable hot water was a major inconvenience and negatively affected our stay. On a positive note, the breakfast staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

Staff was very nice and the room very clean. The breakfast was better than expected.

Halfway through our trip and could not be happier with this hotel. Staff are lovely and kind, hotel is clean and rooms are well equipped. Easy access to transit and all the highlights. Merci!

Room size was very small

Room was very spacious and clean. Toilet area was immaculate - no mold at all. Location was perfect - tonnes of food downstairs. Room was so so quiet for the privilege room. Parking however was a 5 mins walk.

Excellent service excellent hotel in Paris.

Extortionate because of the Olympics but was in a good location, I’ll stay there again but not for the price.

This hotel was ok if you’re not spending much time in it. It was clean and the bed was comfortable but The classic room was way too small. I could barely move. I felt claustrophobic in the shower! I will not be staying there again.

The location is amazing and the price is reasonable compared with the alternatives. The room is about the size of a cabin on a cruise ship - you can manage but it's very tight. The staff was friendly. We were a little disappointed that they couldn't store our bag for 2 days between our two bookings in their hotel (while we went to Normandy). Overall, if we need to be in central Paris, we would book it again.

Small room, inadequate aircon. Would rate as 3 star not 4. I can compare this with the Mercure hotel I stayed at for the previous 3 nights which was 4 star. Staff are friendly and responsive, hotel is quiet and in good location for transport and local restaurants.

The hotel's well appointed with small but comfortable rooms . The front is right above and next to two lovely but noisy bars.
