Albergo Etruria offers decent accommodations in a great location right in the heart of Volterra. The service was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly good — one of the better ones we’ve had in Tuscany.
The room itself was fine but fairly basic — more like a hostel setup than a hotel. It was clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, and the shower was excellent.
Overall, a good value option if you’re looking for a simple, centrally located place with kind staff and a nice breakfast.

Expect to be completely immersed in a super historical and somewhat hard to find location. Make sure you have the time to walk the city. You won’t be disappointed. Once you get the typical European details sorted out like luggage, parking and stairs, it’s a place you’ll really enjoy with great staff and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this city and hotel.

The staff were wonderful. The hotel provided a fantastic breakfast with lots of choice. The hotel is in one of the main streets so very handy to see the sights and explore and close to many restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent position so close to restaurants and museum . It has a great rooftop. The breakfast was excellent and the service was great. The owner was very accomodating and friendly. He even wheeled our heaving suitcases to the car. Would recommend this hotel and will be back

Excellent location within walking distance of paid parking. No elevator, so it was necessary to walk up several flights of stairs. Breakfast was continental with paper cups for juice. Cappuccino was excellent. All staff were friendly. Bathroom was small but adequate . Knees touched wall ditting on toilet . Photo of room booked did not match photo on hotels.com website. Room was smaller than described for standard room.
