The hotel is a few yards from the city walls but the área is very umpleasent. Drug addicts, burgglers and so on simply wander at the door step. I asked if something could be done since I am travelling along but they simple did not care. Police was present one afternoon (3 PM, plain broad light!). Felt like Hell's Kitchen New York pre Gulianni era. Very weird and none I' ve experienced elsewhere in Italy every year. No isolation at all in rooms, and very poor Quality breakfast . Sparkling water and plain bread were the only fresh options to get. At deparpure I was charged for the "complentary water" (and it was the cheapest u can get yo wash your teeth!) because "I had booked through Expedia"!!! As a Platinum member of Expedia for a very long time I' ll let them know. Such a hotel should not be offered on their web site. A 2 Star hotel, poorly managed, not a 4 Star at all. Would not come again. Re vesiting Palladio's work much better to stay at the Starhotels closer to La Rotonda and get the best countryside views, heated pool, and trully commited staff to make your time a true Italian style one.

Our room 104 was very warm when we arrived. However, as our stay progressed, the room cooled off a bit better. However, we did enjoy the size of the room and also the roomy bathroom. The desk staff was very helpful and informative. NOTE: If you need to buy euros with Americsn dollars, go to the post office across the street from hotel, less that 5 minutes away.

Hotel Campo Marzio is the only place I’ll stay in Vicenza. The staff is awesome! Everything I needed, day or night, they provided. They even helped by making phone calls for me to find yoga studios and see if restaurants were open for me. The accommodations were excellent. I got the cheapest room available because I was traveling on a budget, but it was spacious and comfortable. I’m sure that the more expensive rooms and the suites are truly luxurious. The breakfast was awesome! I filled up on great food and the staff served me tableside with whatever great espresso drinks I requested—and I requested a lot of drinks!

Travelers should be aware of a potential scam that the property is running. While there, I requested the use of an iron and ironing board. Later, after I completed the ironing, the accused me of damaging a bedspread with the iron. I am sure I did not place the iron on the bed spread - they showed me a photo of a bedspread with an iron mark. They charged me 200 euros!!!! I said it was outrageous and they threatenind to call the police. In the end, I was running late, paid the fee and moved on. However, I think this might be deliberate scam - if you stay here and request the iron/ironing board and this happens - be aware.
