Grand Hotel Minerva

Fantastic Hotel and location. Minutes walk from the Train Station. Was upgraded on arrival which was a great touch, friendly staff and good choice of Buffet Breakfast. Small Roof Top Swimming Pool and Bar, which is rare in the area. Florence is stunning and great for Designer Shopping.

Warm and friendly welcome. Spacious room with remarkable view of the square and Duomo. Rooftop bar and terrace bar really great for soaking up Florence vibe. Staff excellent throughout. Top tip: Be careful of the mosquitoes when the weather is hot! Hotel provides bug plug for room.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was very accommodating.

Great location! We were in the junior suite, great room and great value!

Amenities including the gym were very good, except the top floor access was closed for pool renovations. Would have been nice to go up at least for the view. I believe it’s opening sometime in April, but you may want to check. Breakfasts were very good, but egg choices were limited and no orders available.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Central Location, Kind Staff and Excellent Food

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva in Florence was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, it truly felt like a 5-star experience in every sense. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the level of service is outstanding. I accidentally entered the wrong check-in dates, and the staff went above and beyond to ease the stress caused by my mistake. They handled everything with such kindness, patience, and professionalism. They took incredible care of both my daughter and me, and I will always be grateful for how seamless they made the entire experience. The room was one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. It was spotless, immaculate, and so thoughtfully designed that it felt warm, inviting, and truly elevated. The staff was exceptional, and the amenities were equally impressive. The multi-level rooftops were a true highlight, offering incredible views of Florence, including the Duomo, but it is only one of many stunning areas throughout the property. Every space feels elegant and welcoming. The hotel is also within walking distance of amazing sites, shops, and restaurants, which made exploring the city very easy. I cannot express enough how exceptional this hotel is. If you are traveling to Florence, this is truly the place you want to stay. Thank you again, Grand Hotel Minerva, for giving us the best hotel experience we have ever had. We cannot wait to return!

Location of the hotel is convenient. Tourist attractions are walkable as well as the main train station. However, I was disappointed because I was given a 2 single bed that was put together causing backache for 2 nights instead of double bed. There’s no free bottle water as well. Not worth for the price paid! Even 5 star hotels provide coffee and free bottle water for guests!
