We loved the location and the view of the lake from the upper rooms was lovely. The food was amazing. However, initially we didn’t get the room we’d booked, we were put on the first floor in a lovely room but the lake was heavily obscured by overgrown trees, this was finally remedied with a move to the fifth floor but not before turning another room down and suffering lots of stress having to prove I’d booked a balcony with a view of the lake and we weren’t settled into our acceptable room until later the next day. Sadly this meant our first 24 hours was tense. The food and restaurant was lovely and my husband’s dietary needs accommodated but the staff in the restaurant were miserable. Pool area was lovely but only sun beds were available, would have liked some nice comfortable seating in the gardens again with a lake view (which could be achieved by pruning the trees and bushes) otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Beautiful establishment and surroundings, very friendly front desk staff. My room was comfortable and well appointed, nothing ornate, but a lovely “basic” room according to the Expedia categories, with a very nice bathroom. I was very comfortable. I did not have a “view,” rather, I was looking out to the road, but I did not experience any noise, and there were good thick curtains to keep out the sun for a good night sleep. I did not have a chance to use the spa or pool facilities, but I had an evening drink on the terrace, under the stars, overlooking Lago di Garda, and it was terrific, just beautiful. My single disappointment was that there was no morning coffee for my early rise to drive to the airport in Milan…they kindly prepared to little bagged breakfast for me…but I was really in need of caffè!! This would make it really excellent ;)

This hotel was very conveniently located just a couple hundred metres from the ferry terminal, our room was very nice we had balcony which we enjoyed the outdoor pool was a bit chilly but nice to sit around, the only thing I would comment on for this hotel is there a cocktails were very expensive compared with anywhere else we’ve been, I would still recommend the hotel. We enjoyed our 3 day stay

Hotel Savoy Palace is not too far from cities (Salò is less than a five minute drive), but also pleasantly secluded. The small extra cost of a room with a balcony was worth it, as the views of Lake Garda from our room never got old. The hotel maintains it grandeur from the early 20th century. It is well maintained and clean. It is not overly modernized, which preserves the charm and character. Some features, such as the elevator, were clearly old, but very clean and efficient. We enjoyed staying in a hotel with character and charm.

This hotel is a lovely hotel with aome very good staff. However, there is a mwmber of staff on reception who is not good the older lady. She is extremely dismissive and not the type of person who should be frontline team. The hotel itself was very clean and the breakfast reasonable, it appears to be if you shout you get better service during breakfast, orherwise you are kinda left to get on with it. Overall, good hotel, well placed, good pool. But mamagwment need to be aware of some staff.

Fantastic location with wonderful views over Lake Garda. Very good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for exploring the lake. Quiet in the evening in Gardone to enjoy a good meal and wine either at the hotel or at the local restaurants. The exterior could do with a new coat of paint.

It was a beautiful hotel in a great spot, close to bars and restaurants and the boat to other places of interest like Sirmione and Limone. The hotel had a feel of 1930s glamour and was refined and genteel. Lovely breakfasts by the pool set with white table cloths and silverware.
