Hotel Sanrakuso

Service by everyone was excellent. Great teamwork, polite and helpful. Convenience to the beach and ocean views were wonderful. Special thanks to Yamauchi-San for his special attention to us.

Everything was good, cleanliness, space, friendly & helpful staffs, location & etc. The only discomfort I had was the thin layer of futon mattress. The blanket was warm and comfortable but the mattress was very thin. Not comfortable to sleep on.

The hotel is at an excellent location although the decor is a bit dated. The room is big with a balcony overlooking the famous Shirahama beach. The hotel staff were the most helpful. The lady staff was in the phone with various parties to help us sort out our punctured tire on the day we checked out. Sorry I didn’t get her name but she was the only female staff there on the morning of 3 Nov 2023. Thank you so much!

Check in time so late and check out too early .........

Staff are excellent and provide great client experience with their heart. Even though they are not good in English speaking, but they are patience to listen to the client’s request. Their attitude are so professional and seek for excellency in every details. Most important, they kept smiling when serving, which made clients felt comfort. Location - easy to find, can take a taxi which cost JPY1,800 or could catch a bus with a fare of JPY340 each. The bus stop is just next to the hote. It locates beside the beach with a great sunset view. Room - we are staying in the premium Japanese room with in room hot spring. The hot spring water is really hot, but you can adjust the temperature by mixing with cold water. The room also has a balcony to let you open the big window to have a sight seeing on the beach and Pacific Ocean. Meals - we picked a package come with both breakfast and dinner, both are delicious and with varieties of dishes. The meals are quite heavy and you won’t get starve after a while. The quality are superb with local seasons ingredients. Room - has a standalone water closet close to the room entrance, and the hot spring bathtub and shower area are next to the balcony. Dedicated staff will make the bed over the tatami after dinner, the staff is quick and efficient, and you will be impressed with their skills and efficiency. The room is big enough to host 4 persons and have nice Japanese amenities. Highly recommend this hotel.

1. the room is big, clean and comfortable expect the old fashion air conditioning unit, I need to use my small battery fan to create better ventilation. 2. I stay 3 nights in this hotel, but I need to ask for sutiable bathrobe for my elder daughter and an extra pillow case every day! the room cleaner didn't check the existing setting and just gave what she got use to give. 3. As I stay for 3 nights, I found the dinner food was also the same every night, only a slightly change to the adult set and the buffet food remained the same and choices were very limited. 4. As a hot spring hotel, the hot spring made me disappointed.

A relaxation stay n a good rate!

Location was right by the beach as advertised. It's about a 20 minute drive from the JR station but the hotel has a free shuttle bus that you can hop on at specific timings to get to and fro the station. Service was less than desirable - there was no one to help us lug our luggage up the slope to the hotel so we ended up struggling with our luggage. This is a basic service that I would have expected a hotel to provide. Hotel room was decent but the service really marred the experience. Also, during checkout, we were told to pay local tax on top of the amount we had paid through hotels.com, so this caught us by surprise. Amount was not that substantial but I think it should have been stated upfront that local tax was applicable and was not covered by the amount payable through hotels.com

The second time stayed in Hotel Sanrakuso, perfect experience just like the last time! Will definitely come back in the future!

Room faced the shirahama beach, excellent scenery and saw fireworks at night.

The tatami/futon room was very spacious and the view overlooking Shirahama bay was beautiful. Were able to experience both Onsens, which were wonderful. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet that offered a wide range of foods from standard American fare (croissant, scrambled eggs, sausages) to the delicious Japanese offerings. Especially loved the grilled salmon, onsen eggs, miso soup, Japanese bread, egg rolls, oh so many good things.

Enjoyable & comfortable. It's good value for money.
