We stayed 3 nights and totally enjoyed the private onsen in our room. The room was clean, though it was small. The staff were friendly and helpful, the property and surroundings were quiet, it was nice that the property was sitting next to a very clean river. The hotel offers free transport from Kagoshima airport which made it possible for us to get there. Thank you to all the staff work there to make our stay so pleasent.

An onsen at your room is a plus for that price, but if you are not driving is not recommended. There is no restaurant at the hotel and no public transportation around unless you want to want hour and half to get your dinner (one way).

The property didn't reply to my request for clarification on how to get there. -Extremely small room, with no windows. The roof window was obfuscated. -Extremely noisy room. Sound-proofing is extremely poor : from my room, I could distinctly hear the never-ending music from the hallway, and voices from other rooms. Terribly loud ventilation fans. Uncomfortable bed. No desk to speak of. Two hangers. This place is designed for a one-night stay. Same default dinner every night. With two other choices for guests staying more than one night. No cook : you'll get pre-cut meat and vegetables that you will cook on a hot plate (if you stay one night), or in boiling water (if you stay longer. Not sure what the third choice is). The appetizer and dessert are the same every night. While the place is surrounded with beautiful mountains, the premises themselves are ugly. I mentioned the absence of windows in the room. There are no windows in the cafeteria either. There is a courtyard, but it seems it was designed to make it impossible to enjoy the view. It all felt weirdly sadistic. The place is very isolated, so you'll need a car. But, really, just go elsewhere (Kokubu?). The place was under construction work (not mentioned anywhere, I believe?). So the public bath was not available. And the courtyard was a mess. By the looks of it, work won't be over anytime soon, and the place won't get any better. There is hardly a tree on the premises. It's only concrete, and it's getting worse.

This onsen hotel was magical. Surrounded by nature, it seemed to be part of it. The room with private onsen was out of this world. The bed and pillows were the best I have ever slept on in my life!! It was a wonderful experience, I recommend this place to everyone. Also, close to Kirishima mountains for hiking, the onsen relaxed the muscles after a long day of climbing. Further, they have a wide variety of free beverages. I really loved this place.

I choose a standard room but wasn’t aware that it was really very tiny. If budget allows, better choose a larger room from rm number 201-203. Overall a nice place and love the private onsen at the room. They have a camping site and looks like booking available at their website only. That is also a wonderful choice.

The actual room is occupied by the two amazing onsen (one open air), be prepared to leave your bigger luggage with the hotel, as the room size is relatively tight. The Japanese type breakfast is excellent with many choices and the service as a whole is also excellent. Highly recommended.

Though it’s a very new hotel with private onsen, the room we stayed is far too small and almost impossible to find a proper place for two luggage. The bed is too soft compared to other hotels in Japan. All the staff we met are very friendly and helpful. There is a small nice Japanese garden at the backyard.
