Pension Yufuin

Hotel amenities are very basic. The room is insufficiently lighted, more lighting is needed. The bed mattress is broken as well. The staff are very nice but not worth the price.

The property is in a beautiful and icon location. The staff is amazing and so kind. They will help you with anything you could possibly need and more. I had such an enjoyable stay I would love to come back sometime in the near future. This place was perfect.

The place is easily to find in good location, the staff welcome with hospitality. I’m so impressed. I wish to pay another visit next year. The room is very cozy for everyone of us (3). We enjoyed both indoor and outdoor onsen provided by this property. Excellent

The staff is soooo nice. Nice place for a family to enjoy traditional Japanese style hotel room. A bit far from JR station but not big deal if you’re driving a car like us.

Traditional accommodation in a quaint town. The staff are super lovely and although they don’t speak much English it didn’t matter. They have their own Onsen, including private ones which are open 24 hours. They have an 11pm curfew however, we arranged to be home later one evening and they waited up to let us in at 1.30am. We had a relaxing couple of nights and enjoyed our stay.

Very conveniently located staff are nice and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. It takes 8 minutes walk from the Yufuin station, and near the Main Street ! Nice Onsen too!

This is the very pretty and beautiful hotel. The view in front of the hotel is the best view in Yufuin. The onsens are very good. The owner is very kind.

there are two onsens, it is public but you can lock it when using it, the hot spring is quite large that can accommodate for 2 persons. got only one toilet and it’s also public, condition is clean. we didn’t had breakfast. all in all, price was relatively cheap but it’s over expectations! recommend for those travelers who want to enjoy hot spring but with limited budget! host was nice too!

Bathroom and bath is public sharing and not private. You need to put on your cloths whenever you need to go to bathroom. No breakfast option is provided. You cannot get any food here but restaurants are far away. You need to bring your food otherwise you will be starving. We checked out and had late breakfast, not because we were lazy, but had no food options provided, not to mention everyone complained about getting hungry. Pension in this kind of location should provide food. We read several reviews about having good breakfast here, but that seems to be long time ago, as we didn't see any food for other guests either. No refrigerator is available either, you will need to borrow the owner's fridge. This place is also rather old, I would stay at another place at similar price.

Host was so sweet and open air bath are very good. The locationwas quiet because it was a little bit off center. But it was fit to walk around. I recommend that you take advantage of the outdoor bath!!

it's much better than my expected! the host is very nice and friendly. altought it's public bath, but it's very clean. the hot spring water is very nice and clean. i will book the same hotel if i came back here.
