I have been staying at this hotel for every time I visited Riga. Most helpful, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Location is within short walk from most of the central areas. Very affordable, as well.

Really nice little hotel. The breakfast is amazing! The room was perfect for us too.

Charming old world but no fridge . I should have read that there was no lift! Lugging suitcase up 4 flights is not good.

During booking process there was no clear sign of no elevator in hotel. "Luckily" we got room on 2nd floor. Could imagine how it was for guests on 4th floor. The overal condition of hotel is poor. Small dubble room, with some smell from bathroom. Somehow air-conditioner was always on at 7.12, so we had unique wake up call :( Breakfast could be more tasty and with more choices. Location of hotel is good with lot of public transport connections.

Good location, only 15 minutes walk from the centre. Great breakfast for a budget hotel. The only downsides were thin walls (and some visitors like to have their TV on at 100am), no storage space in the room apart from 4 hangers, and no elevator, even though on 4 floors.

Perfect for a short stay in Riga - newly refurbished room, spacious shower.

Everything was really good, the reception staff need to cheer up though, not very helpful, seem miserable all the time, otherwise great.

The location was good,but room was on the small side just about to get arround the bed and furniture(drawers were falling apart, the lampshade has had missing some decor.elements. Very basic , I have booked a double room just fot myself, but used two pillows and two duvets- it was then just right. Bed haven't been made on two occasions out of three. Cheap stay. Breakfast was very basic too.

Great hotel for your money and the location was walkable to the old town and close to public trans. Also the breakfast was good and the bar is well stocked.

At no point there was a disclosure that this hotel does not have an elevator, meaning this hotel is not equipped to host people with disabilities or just the ones who don't want to break their backs carrying their suitcase to the 4th floor. This is what I got with this non-refundable booking for 6 nights. I am not sure if this more of a fault of Hotels.com or A1 hotel itself, but the bottom line is that they should be very clear that this hotel is not for people with disabilities or otherwise unable to carry their luggage up the stairs breaking their backs. When I called Hotels.com I was told that that they cannot do anything at this point and that I should call them tomorrow. Than means that I cannot even make a reservation for a hotel with an elevator until I wait till Hotels.com resolves this matter with hotel management. What if not dear Hotels.com? Do you want to be liable for my back treatment fees?

Didn't like the bed, all the rest was fine.

This hotel isn't on caka street, it is around the corner. At least it has a big hotel sign!

Usually "good value for money choice" when planning to stay 2, 3 nights on a budget in Riga. Clean, comfortable rooms & tasty breakfast. 5 min. walk to central station, less than 10 to old town & tourist- sights, -bars & -restaurants.

Good location. Good hotel for that money. Good breakfast. Easy access from center.

The shower head was not working it leaked badly from the hose, and the water was not draining properly it leaked out of the actual shower onto the bathroom floor,I had to open the window because the a/c didn’t work ,other than that the breakfast was good

Just two nights, but it was great! Good price, nice room.

For the price asked the hotel is perfect in all aspects.

hotel located close to city... just 10 minutes walk from city. staff was very friendly, and help if you look for something. breakfast was standard. I recommended this hotel to my friends....
