The location of the hotel is great next to Train and Bus station and also right next to the city center. Most importantly, the staff are simply wonderful and extremely nice and always ready to help.

Perfectly located 5 minute walk to train to / from Amsterdam! Include the breakfast in your hotel stay - well worth it compared to most hotels offering same in USA. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff all spoke English. Helped us to print our train tickets.

What a surprise to get all this comfort in the heart of Enschede. Normally I stay with friends or family when I visit my home time overseas but decided that this time to do a change. We traveled by train to Enschede and what is better than being close to the train station downtown. Walking distance from the Oude Markt or other spots to hang around.
The hotel service was great and their friendly professional staff plus they have even a bar and a restaurant. We used the restaurant for breakfast and must say this is more than the basic stuff that you get at most hotels. So my next stay back in my home time will be here again.

Fint hotel, boede på 9. etage med en rigtig flot udsigt.
Enschede er en dejlig by med masser af liv.
Hotelværelset var rummeligt med et fint badeværelse i almindelig standard. Sengene var en smule hårde, og loftet i entreen var under renovering, men ikke færdigt – det manglede maling. Ellers var alt i orden.
Morgenmaden var som forventet og levede op til standarden.
Beliggenheden i forhold til by og transport er super god og meget nem.

My experience at this hotel was a bit mixed. I was very happy the first time I stayed here about 10 years ago, but my most recent visit unfortunately was not quite as good.
My room had an electrical problem which resulted in me having to switch rooms late at night, and I was placed in the handicapped room due to availability issues. My friend's room had a fairly severe plumbing leak in the washroom. Maintenance and quality control could use some improvement. Breakfast was great, and the location of the hotel is perfect if one wants to visit the town of Enschede.

Nieuw hotel, geweldige locatie, fantastische medewerkers, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Helaas zeer slecht geslapen vanwege de slechte kussens en gebrek aan frisse lucht omdat de ramen niet open kunnen. De plastic matras bescherming maakt het bed bloedheet en oncomfortabel om op te liggen. Heel jammer!

Cleanliness can be better- I found fake lashes in my shower that scared the hell out of me as I thought it was a spider.

Very much a ‘business’ hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient but bar area lacked atmosphere and had to wait for a receptionist to serve drinks. Room was clean and comfortable.

I was baffled by this hotel: it seems that a competition was written for architectural students to design a (spacious) room that has all the basics...AND WHOEVER CAN DO IT AT THE LOWEST COST WILL WIN!.(NO ADULT or FREQUENT TRAVELER would ever design a room to be THIS UNCOMFORTABLE).
It had everything: a (terrible) bed, two (very small, very poor) pillows, a duvet (too thin and small for the bed), a (half) desk, two (very poor) chairs, a (small) bathroom with a sink, a (small) shower (with low water pressure), (very thin) towels and a toilet.
In my 40 years of travel around the world, staying in hotels 200 nights per year minimum, this must have been the most "bare bone" comfort I have ever experienced (AT A HIGH PRICE!) Check in is SELF SERVICE, they have closed the restaurant for lunch and dinner (So it should be renamed HOTEL-GARNI or B&B) and the very hard to find staff members seemed to have NO training in the hospitality industry. Breakfast was all self service and unappetizing. The reason I chose the hotel was its location and the STEIGENBERGER affiliation ~ but NEVER AGAIN!

The property location is great. The room and view were great.
However, it is very hard to find the entrance. I searched for a bit lugging my suitcase and bags. Finally I got close to an area where I saw a sign that was facing the opposite direction and that is where the elevator was.
