This hotel is just a 2 min walk to the bus top, 7 mins to Tram or T (Metro). It takes about 10 to 15 mins max to Oslo Central Station. There's a huge Store Center (Mall) next door and there's plenty of eateries inside. A grocery store is at levwl 1 of this stroe center. The breakfast buffet is really good and I'd rate that a 5+*. The nightly rates were 3 times lesser here compared to any hotel near Oslo sentrum (Central). Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Oslo area.

Wonderful stay! Thon hotel was very clean and super quiet! Best of was the breakfast buffet! You can not even imagine the choices one could have for breakfast! Simply amazing !!

The highlight is the breakfast. It is done very well. Very healthy, fresh and very nicely displayed. In fact one of the best I have seen in the world sans the pastries you get in France. Otherwise the hotel is a solid 3 stars. My first night I went to the restaurant to be greeted with " we're closing " despite 20 minutes left till their close time. However the food very good. Maybe staff with a little hospitality.

Great hotel, and the breakfast buffet is out of this world !! And the subway, tramway and buses are very close by.
Most of the restaurants around the hotel are closing fairly early though (if you like dining after 9pm)

We chose this hotel due to an early appointment at Volvat Medical Center, just a 5-minute walk away. The breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel itself is situated in a lovely area outside Oslo city center. The surroundings are excellent, with a scenic river nearby and a large shopping center just 2 minutes away offering a wide variety of great stores. The subway is also close, providing easy access to downtown Oslo in only about 15 minutes.

We looked for a balance of nice but reasonably priced and absolutely found it here! Though you need to take the T-bane or Trikk to city center, both are very convenient to this location and there is plenty nearby to meet guests needs. We went to the shopping center next door several times and were able to get anything we needed from food, pharmacy, to clothes and other random items. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, and the lobby was also excellent. Staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our favorite part, though, was the breakfast! It was delicious and had so many fun local foods we were excited for every morning (that barley pudding was amazing!) and there was plenty of seating no matter what time we came downstairs. We truly enjoyed our stay and I would absolutely return on a future trip and check first for Thon hotels in any area we visit next time!

First of all, the breakfast buffet is amazing. It goes on and on, all fresh and very well made. The bed was good, not great and ventilation was best by window. If you don't like a duvet, the desk will get you a sheet. The hotel is very clean. It was economical and in a residential area. Buses were very close, subway a 10 minute walk.

Second time I’ve stayed. First time was nice enough. This time the room was not so nice even though I paid for an upgraded room. Had basically no furniture and there was limited actual service. It was just an all around disappointment. Very mediocre experience.
