This hotel was recommended by our dearest friend, and it was a great choice. The Scandinavian design, both outside and inside, was sleek and very beautiful. It is located right next to the train station and is within walking distance to many places. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. Most of the food was organic, and we really enjoyed our morning breakfast.

The breakfast here at Zander K is absolutely phenomenal and the staff are couteous. We requested an upgrade to a larger room and they gave us a suite which was great as we were staying three nights and we really needed the additional space. Everything went well and I recommend this hotel. It is a 10-15 minutes to walk to all the major sites and is very quiet!

Busy Hotel. Room was adequate, carpet had old stains which didn’t look great. Window view to interior roof, only good to see if it’s raining. Breakfast was chaotic trying to get seated, there was an additional room which helped but was dull. Evenings were okay chillin on the lounge with good tunes. Stay here if you’re on a budget. It did the job, but can’t say I was wowed. Luckily Bergen did the wowing for us, lovely city even when it rained

Rooms are very basic. Room was clean. Our room fronted the Main Street and was very noisy which coaches dropping of and picking up other guests during the night. Beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was fine, good variety of food. The coffee was available all the time, and a cold water tap - these were useful and good idea. We had an evening meal at the restaurant. The staff were not friendly at all. This was the worse service I have encountered in Norway. It was as if they were doing us a good turn by serving us. Trip UK to Germany to Tromso to Bergen to Oslo to UK over nine days.

Lobby, particularly near the rear elevator, smelled like rotting garbage for most of our stay. Breakfast buffet was chaotic, crowded, messy. Had to ask twice for housekeeping service. Reception desk staff not very welcoming. Room itself was very nice.

I stayed 2 nights in regular room and on the weekend in a bigger room with a view. Both was very nice, room has nice layout, buffet breakfast was excellent. Food was fresh, tasty and lot of choices. Location was excellent, very short walking distance from the central train station.
