Other reviews capture only highs of this property: great location, clean nice beds. Otherwise, very disappointing. Staff were polite but inhospitable — simple requests like a bandaid and an additional bathrobe (there was one in our room the first night, and then none after housekeeping finally came the next day) were dismissed/ignored. Scolded for taking wrong coffee at breakfast (one was apparently « for an event » despite being set up in the breakfast area), unable to carry breakfast back to my room (never encountered a spatial restriction on where I could eat), lamp in room was broken and another had some sort of mold in it, cracks in wall, door to toilet was poorly installed so it dragged on floor and was difficult to open/close, mildewy substance in sink, thin and tatty towels, broken cardio equipment in fitness room… this hotel has a lovely aesthetic, but its appeal is superficial at best. After 3 weeks in Peru at multiple stellar locations, this hotel was a low point. If you need a quick night at a sterile, poorly maintained spot that’s centrally located in San Isidro, this works fine. But if you want a happy experience with amiable staff, actual amenities, genuine Peruvian cuisine, and nods to the beautiful culture of Lima, I suggest looking elsewhere in Miraflores or Barranco.

Everything was excellent

Property was beautiful and clean. Good-sized rooms and bathrooms. Staff very helpful with arranging transport and other things. Wonderful buffet breakfast with fresh juices, yogurt, granola, eggs, fruit and more. Nice, quiet location in San Isidro, an upscale residential neighborhood. There aren’t a lot of restaurants or markets within a five or ten minute walk, but there’s a park with millennia-old olive trees nearby. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot. Uber is your best bet for getting around.

Paying for coffee pods in the room was a surprise

The breakfast here is excellent, fresh food and a decent selection. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room is clean, only criticism would be lack of outlets for charging at bedside, youll need a long cord

The room was clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a boutique property that I would highly recommend. The only challenge was that one night I had no hot water, but apart from that, I would definitely return.

Manto Hotel is in a really beautiful and quiet part of San Isidro. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. I stayed in a superior room with a king bed and was very happy with the size, and cleanliness of the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in Lima.

We absolutely love this property, the staff, and the ambiance here! We actually live 10 minutes down the road now (we used to stay here more frequently when we first moved to Peru) and book stays here just to come back to visit - it’s an amazing area, the attached restaurant is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and the staff is so helpful and kind (especially to our dog and baby!). 5 stars!

Very nice hotel in a nice area, walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. The staff were friendly and helpful and always available. The only thing for us was that there was no coffee machine in the room which would have been nice to wake-up to. Hotels we’ve been to round the world, tend to include at least a kettle as a standard these days. That said, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel, clean, great service, romms are big and very comfortable. Location is very good.
