Oceanica Resort Panglao

They charged me twice for two rooms! I complained and they said they would take care of it. Sounds like a scam. They say it’s a glitch but the charges went in twice.

Oceanica Resort was such a beautiful place to stay. The beach is honestly breathtaking and easily one of the nicest we’ve seen. The whole atmosphere made it really hard to leave. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was so kind, welcoming, and hardworking. You can really tell how much they care about guests having a great experience, and we were so grateful for how friendly and helpful everyone was throughout our stay. The breakfast was also one of the best we’ve had while traveling with so many fresh and delicious options every morning. The only area that could use improvement is the on site restaurant service. The staff there were wonderful and clearly doing their absolute best, but it seemed like there simply weren’t enough people scheduled to keep up when it got busy, especially on weekends. Wait times for food and drinks could be quite long at times. I’d love to see the resort add another bartender and more servers during peak times because the staff truly deserve the support. Overall we had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. Huge thanks to the amazing staff for making our trip so memorable.

It's definitely a place to relax.. so many activities to enjoy. From paddle boarding, canoeing, beach volleyball, tennis, pickleball. Staff was veey helpful and always accommodating.

The room was clean and well kept when we first arrived. The staff were extremely kind, helpful and accommodating. The resort was quiet and relaxing, away from the loud crowds. Good food and buffet options available.

The whole staff was welcoming and very friendly. The resort was beautiful and well cleaned. It’s beautiful and I enjoyed my time. I highly recommend this resort for anyone.

I've been nostalgic for the charming atmosphere of South Palms, the excessive traffic to the beach is making it feel like a public beach

The good: free water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding. Good service at the bar. The beach is nice. Concierge staff were very courteous. Food was decent. The bad: they told me they didn’t have space for a single person at the restaurant after checking and that they would call me if they could accommodate. Ridiculous for the price you pay to stay here. There were many open seats but I guess they wanted to save them for groups that probably never ended up coming. They owned the mistake the next day and the manager or whoever I talked to was very courteous in trying to smooth things over. Damage was done though, I felt like I wasn’t valued. The pool was super crowded. The bathroom design was not to my liking, after a shower there was water everywhere. Called a tuktuk from the front desk once and it took 20-25 minutes versus the 5-10 they told me. Maybe they are too busy to ensure good service, but things happen. I don’t think anything was malicious but the restaurant reservation thing put a sour taste in my mouth. Overall, some good. Some bad. But I wouldn’t stay here again. I paid less for Bohol Beach Club and it was much nicer in every way except for the water sports cost money. The food, rooms, resort, and service was much better there.

We stayed at South Palms, now Oceanica, 8 years ago and enjoyed our stay then and still loved the place. Every staff were friendly and professional and were always willing to assist no matter what it was we needed. Due to the paying public being allowed access during the day, it was busier than normal. However, it wasn’t a deterrent for us enjoying ourselves. The location is amazing with long stretch of white sand beach for everyone to enjoy! Definitely will be returning to this place when we visit Bohol.
