Latroupe Prado

I rarely write negative reviews, but our recent stay at this Madrid hotel was so horrendous that I feel obligated to warn others. Calling our room a "deathtrap" is honestly an understatement. Here is a breakdown of our nightmare experience: • Unlivable Conditions: They crammed four of us into a shockingly tiny 100-square-foot room. To make matters worse, there was absolutely no working HVAC. With four bodies in such a small space and zero air circulation, the room was genuinely suffocating. • Dismissive Service: Desperate for some air, we went down to the front desk to ask why the climate control wasn't working. Instead of an apology, a fan, or a room change, the staff was entirely unhelpful. Their grand solution? "Just open the window." • The Final Insult: The window they pointed to opened directly over a main street that is deafeningly loud 24/7. When we pointed out that the constant traffic and street noise would make sleep impossible, the front desk actually handed us cheap foam earplugs so we could "keep the window open." Between the suffocating heat, the claustrophobic quarters, and the sheer audacity of the staff offering earplugs instead of basic ventilation, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else in Madrid.

I had a wonderful experience at Latroupe Prado. The location is unbeatable, perfectly situated for exploring the museums, Parque El Prado, and the heart of Madrid. The design of the hotel is modern and welcoming, striking a great balance between a social atmosphere and a quality hotel stay. The staff was helpful, and the overall vibe made my time in Madrid even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish, well-located base in the city.

No glass in the room for rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth. I don’t remember having a hotel room without a television ever. Very unusual.

Super nice, all that we expected and more. Great staff and breakfast. Connections with train and bus service plus close to the site

Convenient

On arrival, we were not greeted despite us talking to the person. Apparently she was in training but it was very unwelcoming. She didn’t reply when we said hello or gracias. She just sat there. The other guy was showing her how to enter our check in details and it was incredibly slow check in. She was unfriendly and seemed useless.

Great location and price for our Madrid stay. Missing a few amenities of a traditional hotel, so be prepared for no microwave or fridge or facial tissue. The breakfast was ok, no hot options, but a decent selection of cold food items, bread, ham, cheese, cereal, pastries, juice, coffee, milk, yogurt, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

Loved this place! It was clean, new and friendly staff!
