The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet offers many options. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Although it's farther from downtown and the main tourist area than expected, this isn't a significant inconvenience.

The front desk, lobby, and restaurant staff were all wonderful!!! Excellent food choices and preparation for breakfasts and dinners. Only problem was that the room safe did not lock. Spoke to desk staff twice, got new "safe" card, but still did not lock. Therefore, needed to carry money and passport in my purse for 3 days.

Don’t be fooled. The spa, sauna, and steam room is a separate business. It has very limited hours of 12:00 to 20:00 and is by reservation only. As a guest, you don’t have access and must pay extra. The “upgraded” room was supposedly renovated, but perhaps in 1982. The floors are disgusting, made of a woven sticky textured plastic that looks impossible to clean. In what world is plastic woven flooring normal? It was horrific to walk on. The huge windows open fully, which is extremely dangerous for children. No ability to use the TV for anything other than local channels. The bedding is poor quality and polyester. Rotting, water damaged bathroom door and shelves. Horrible workmanship for even the most simple tilework and caulking. The shower and toilet were so poorly engineered and designed, than you have to sit sideways to use the toilet, and carefully enter the shower by squishing behind the open door. The bathtub fills FROM the drain?? The dressing cabinets are useless, as the handles are tiny shallow circular holes that you must do your best to grasp to open. Overall, everything in the room was so ergonomically poor, that it was a nuisance to even use the sink, toilet, shower, cabinets, etc. This is a supposedly beloved hotel, but I cannot understand why. All this for over $360 USD per night. It was worth perhaps $120 USD. It’s clear that Barcelona is so over saturated that such a hotel can be considered 5 star. Ridiculous.

The air conditioner in the room was not working when we checked in and it took a while for someone to come fix it. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The room could use a refreshing, though.

We enjoyed Barcelona. Book Guell Park in advance as the day we went it was sold out. Not really a 5 Star hotel, reception area was like a 5 Star but the rest wasn’t. I’d say the rest was like a 3 star. Bedrooms had no iron, replacing tea and milk was an issue each day had to request it from reception and felt we like we were being a nuisance. The flooring in the room was like a rattan and not comfortable at all. There was no usual long cabinet to put stuff on so that was a bit of an issue. Tv remote didn’t work properly either. We did however find the Beds very comfortable. Had to use the plug at the bedside cabinet to use the kettle. I’d say for the price it was disappointing and I’d rather have paid less and booked a 3 star or paid slightly more for a 5 star. Location is ok and there are some places to eat in the locality. Bit far from la rambalas and the vibrancy of the city so we relied on Ubers and sometimes the bus. We stayed 3 nights

I’ve stayed in four different hotels in Barcelona, and the Melia Barcelona Sarriá is easily my favorite. I will definitely be returning. What I loved: The Level Experience: We stayed in a Family Room "The Level" and the perks were incredible. The private lounge and the dedicated breakfast room felt very exclusive and made our stay much more comfortable. The View: Our room on the 18th floor offered a stunning panoramic view of the city, the sea, and the sunrise. The Staff & Food: The service was professional and kind, and the breakfast was simply outstanding. Location: Great spot for visiting Camp Nou and well-connected to other city highlights. A couple of tips for future guests: Book the Spa early: It’s a great facility but very busy, so make sure to reserve your spot well in advance. Ventilation: We noticed a slight occasional smell from the bathroom drainage; some improved mechanical ventilation would be a plus, but it didn't ruin our stay. Overall, an excellent experience. If you want a premium stay in Barcelona, this is the place!

The rooms are clean with a nice decor. Staff were friendly and willing to help overall. Sadly, we had a room in the Level but welcomed by a foul sewage smell on arrival which can be easily sorted. We were "upgraded" to a Junior suite but it seemed more cramped and dark compared to our original room bar the sewage smell. Having said that, it was a good stay, but difficult to get rid of the first impression
