This was a very quaint hotel and an easy walk from the train station. We were surprised by our large balcony with a small Mountain View. We were not expecting that. The breakfast was very delicious and you can walk to all of the sights. I highly recommend.

Close to station and various restaurants etc. Nice view. Fairly small room, which was fine for us as only stayed 1 night. Nice hot shower and proper hairdryer which I was grateful for!
We hadn’t booked breakfast but they gave us a complimentary coffee and croissant as we left which was much appreciated

The staff at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and very nice. There were two large tiles missing in the shower so that keeps it from being five stars. The location is very convenient in the cemtral part of town and a short walk from the train station. The tradeoff is that it can be loud into the early hours of the morning on Friday and Saturday nights as people going out to local bars congregate by the hotel. It’s just something to be aware of but I would still recommend the hotel.

This hotel is in a perfect location in the middle of town. Only a five minute walk from the train station and very convenient. Alicia at reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly. WE loved this hotel, it was different. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, maybe the breakfast buffet was only so-so, but, dinner was wonderful.
After staying at a hotel in Basel, we came to appreciate that what the Stockalperhoff offered, was small, personable and very enjoyable. Not fancy, but very clean. We give it 5 stars.
