Daan Park Hotel - Hostel

The reception staff is so helpful and cheerful. One point needs to mention that even though you picked the room not mentioning "no window", there is no window. Only couple rooms have windows

Clean, good location, comfortable bed, fast wifi. Room is small.

With the usual choices in the area full, we tried Daan Park. Friendly enough people. But, $80 USD for a tiny room with no fridge, and no breakfast- it is $35 to $40 overpriced.

Nice area, hard to find, on 8th floor of building. Near parks and markets. No frills, get what you pay for.

Great location. Very nice staff. Nice design interiors - new and modern design. For the price, can't really beat it. It was pretty quiet, even for a shared room with 6 beds. Didn't have to wait for a shower / washroom either, even though there's only 1 sink and 2 showers. Simple amenities - hot / cold drinking water, instant coffee / tea, small fridge. Really close to Dongmen and Daan Park MRT station. Right across from Daan Park and very close to Yongkang neighbourhood. Would definitely consider staying there again for my next trip to Taipei.

Overall, very good. Room was a bit compact, but livable. If you only need a place to crash for the night, then this place is just fine.

Well. I loved the location. it is located between two subway stations. Dongmen was great for browsing shops and DTF. Daan park was great area to walk. It was easy access to Taipei101 and other places by MRT. The hotel looked remodeled newly. However, the room (double room) itself wasn't great. It was extremely small that I don't think you can open two luggage at the same time on the floor. The bed was small too. Air conditioning can be unpleasant if you stay there too long. Bathroom looked clean but there were some water stains on the shower head. After checking in, I shortly realized there isn't a soap or handwash so I went to the desk to ask if I can get an extra but she said "No." Not so great. The worst part was that I had fruit flies in my room on the first day and I caught five at night. I kept seeing fruit flies in my next days but I gave up. It stated "free breakfast" but it is not. I was given a coupon (68? 69 NTD OFF) at Yoshinoya, a local restaurant. I never visited so I can't comment on it. Would I go back to this hotel? No, I would rather book another one, which offers a handwash, in this area.

It's a nice and cozy room, although not big everything was clean.

Stayed at shared mixed dorm. Liked it for the location, but wished it had more public space to chill. The dorm room is too small to fit six people, but worst of all is you can hear neighboring rooms quite clearly.

bathroom smells really bad, room is dirty and no staff at nights

They put Logo design in every small things, the cups, mini bar and even the quilt. I think girls will love this place.
