Hotel De Mag

The staff barely speak English, despite them saying they do, they are rude and unprofessional. The hotel is surrounded by churches and mosques which all seem to blare out sermons in loudspeakers at all hours eevwn until midnight and there is no soundproofing to speak of in the rooms. The restaurant is terrible and constantly out of half the menu. I ended up ordering grilled chicken and ingot a wing and a neck, 90% bones. Not only that, but it is horribly understaffed to the point where I stood in the restraint for 15 minutes calling for someone before I just walked back to the kitchen to find it empty. I also got a call on a Sunday morning at 7 AM, waking me up just to ask how I was. No purpose, just an annoyance. Also if you want your room to be serviced you have to give back your room key as they apparently don't have complied for the housekeeping staff. Then you have to wait at the front desk for them to come give it back to you. I asked for a late check out because my flight wasn't until the evening and they made me pay an additional half day. Absolutely horrible.

Good hospitality

Not a luxury hotel but a good place for the price. There is a restaurant in the building open 24/7. I felt very comfortable there. The only crticism is that wifi quality was very poor.

The hotel location was different from google where we found, and it took us 30 mins to ask the local. Most of them don't know the location. Besides, the room condition was bad, e.g. Dirty Bed, Smelly Refrigerator, Broken Wardrobe, Rusted Sink, Half-used Toiletries, Water-leaked A/C.....

Very responsive staff. For the price, my expectation was exceeded. I will likely stay here again on a solo trip.

It was fair. Nice staff. Location fair, toiler/bathroom too small. When you shower water is all over toilet. Water in shower not draining. AC dripping water. Fan making awful noises.

Hotellet kunne ikke finde vores reservation da vi ankom, og hende der tog i mod os, virkede som om at det var det sidste hun havde lyst til. Vi fik vores værelse, der var mega beskidt - tyggegummi, der sad fast på gulvet og skjolder på møblerne. Poolen var lukket, hvilket ikke var til at se, før bookingen. Morgenmaden var fin ift. prisen, og personalet var meget søde og imødekommende, under resten af opholdet. Bortset fra rengøringen (og den lukkede pool!), er det et ok hotel til prisen.

Kein Luxus, aber gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Gutes Frühstück und sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights because we were going on a safri trip nearby, The night before we went to the safari we ate dinner at the restaurant, and during the night/early morning, before departured to the trip, we got food poisoning. Later, we tried to explain to the staff/manger what had happened, to prevent this from happen agian to anyone else, but they didn't listen and didn't do anything to make it right and did not even apologize for what happened. They just said "you can not prove this". Very rude and terrible service!!

Det var fint, men morgenmaden var rigtig dårlig og aircondition virkede ikke. Vi var der i alt i tre dage, hvor der blev holdt kæmpe fest alle afterne.

En période de pluie les environs sont trop sales . Pas beaucoup apprécié la piscine . Pour le reste tout est acceptable .Le personnel est très serviable et gentille .

Hotelli oli loistava ja sijainti erittäin kiinnostava. Hotelli sijaitsi lähiössä vähän kauempana kaupungin keskustasta. Alue oli upeaa tavanomaista Tansanialaista arkea. Hotellin henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Saimme muun muassa opastusta kaupungilla ja apua erilaisissa käytännön asioissa. Lämmin suositus hotel de magille!

Jag var väldigt nöjd med mitt rum och framförallt servicen som personalen gav utöver det vanliga. Glory i receptionen var otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam!

Vi blev incheckade i ett litet rum utan balkong. Vid kontakt med receptionen skulle de ha 50 Usd för att uppgradera då standardrum ej hade balkong. Hämtade då laptopen och visade de olika rumskategorierna och vad vi bokat. Vips så fick vi ett rum med balkong. Omgivningen kändes inte trygg att röra sig i. För övrigt var det riktigt bra och trevlig och hjälpsam personal
