I accidentally stumbled upon Baan Dinso while searching for a place to stay in Bangkok, and what a wonderful discovery it turned out to be.
The hotel is tucked away in a small alley in the Phra Nakhon area, surrounded by many attractions and local gems within walking distance. I had so much fun exploring nearby markets, restaurants, bookstores, cafes, and small shops frequented by locals. The neighborhood is peaceful and charming, with lots of friendly cats roaming around. There’s also a 7-Eleven nearby, which makes everything even more convenient.
The service here is exceptional! warm, welcoming, and genuine, all while still being affordable. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom, and honestly, I had no issues at all. The room also bigger than what I expected! The entire place is impressively clean, almost spotless, despite its vintage furnishings. The decor is charming and thoughtfully done, preserving a sense of old Bangkok in the best way.
Breakfast is lovely, with three set menu options to choose from. I tried two of them during my stay and loved both! The portions are generous and satisfying. I especially looked forward to the mini lumpia everyday, it was such a delightful touch.
The staff were all very kind and helpful. The architecture of the house is beautiful, and I appreciate how well-preserved the building is. There’s even a section in the lobby where you can read about the history and preservation process of the house, which I found really interesting.
All in all, Baan Dinso offers incredible value and a memorable stay. I’d absolutely love to return the next time I’m in Bangkok.
A solid 10/10 for the entire experience and value!
