Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront

The hotel itself appeared outwardly nice upon arrival, but we struggled to see the value upon entrance. The $31.80/night self parking was different than what we were told upon booking. Our confirmation email said valet would be $24 so we planned to valet, but waited for over ten minutes out front and no one ever showed so we paid more to park our own vehicle for three nights ($95.40). We waited a little over twenty minutes for check in as there was only one person working the front desk the evening that we arrived to encounter an unfriendly staff member. Upon entering our room we were further disappointed. The rooms were decorated nice, but the cleaning was mediocre. We had the family suite and the kids room had a flickering light, only one of the bunk lights worked, and none of the bunks were made. There was dust on all four bunk beds as well as all over the king bed in our room. The desk and nightstand surfaces were not clean and the shower was dirty. There was a lot of rust on the sliding door mechanism as well that was unpleasant to look at while in the shower. After wiping things down and requesting the light to be fixed, cleaning the shower and making the bunk beds; the room was decent. Again, struggling to see the value of $1,624.05. The balcony had an obscured view and also was unclean. In conclusion; I would never waste my money here again when there are cleaner, nicer hotels for less in the area.

The hotel room layouts were nice. Amenities were convenient. However, cleanliness of the room its self was not great. Hairs in the shower, dust on the glass shelf’s they put hygiene items on and stuff all over the floor. Most likely won’t be going back.

Beautiful property! We didn't like having a separate charge for parking.

I can only complain in detail on the misleading photos of the rooms. Unless you pick a room at the very back of the hotel you will not get a full view of the ocean. You will get a view of the condos and maybe a slither of a view of the ocean.

Good for last minute stays

I love it here, Favorite place to stay when I am in the area.

Housekeeping was very inattentive. Shower curtain was filthy with what appeared to be blood stained. It took multiple efforts to have housekeeping bring a set of bedding to make up the sofa bed. When we received said bedding, the duvet was filthy. The room itself was spacious and the views were nice.

My stay was amazing. The views are breathtaking and even when there was an issue with my room (no hot water), the staff was extremely accommodating and quick with a resolution to my problem. I will absolutely be back.

Only issues is the fact that they mislead you about the Starbucks. It’s not a real Starbucks so don’t expect to use your gift card or get any points. Also I booked for $353.81 but was charged $495

From the website through Expediia it did not reveal that there was a $30 per day parking charge, and it did not indicate that breakfast was not included in the reservation price. If I had known this ahead of time I would have looked for a different hotel!
