Really nice place to stay

The hotel itself and the front desks are pretty nice, but the Monks cafe has a waitress, Briana, with long curly hair, who was nasty to us, she almost splashed coffee at us - I have kids and she lied to us about a different table that was obviously available but she said we had to sit at the table near the entrance where there were more traffics. She then followed us to a different table later, making us feel unsafe, she is very aggressive and should not work in a restaurant.

Perfect for parents visiting college kids, or dropping them off. (Just be aware of price surging on peak weekends). Property is nice enough and the staff helpful and pleasant. Not a luxury hotel by any means but a safe, reliable stay every time

Visited the hotel 2x in Dec 2024 - on both visits the staff were terrific - especially manager Kellen - he was extremely helpful with booking a specific room, gifts for our pet and taking care of an issue for me when everything else failed. Kellen is a great asset to the hotel and is very attentive to his guests needs - thank you very much Kellen

The fire alarm went off at 3:48 am. We had to evacuate the building in 30 degree weather for about 30 minutes. I was told it was a glitch in the system. No apologies or compensation was offered.

Great check in and clean room. Slight smell of cigarettes but generally great. Staff was friendly and helpful

great overall experience

I called the property a week before arriving to check on the availability of the shuttle to pick up from the local airport and was assured they would be.available to pick me up if I called and let them know what time the flight was scheduled to arrive. The night I came in my flight had been delayed by weather and I called to let them know and they informed the shuttle wouldn’t be available. I needed to call a cab . When I got to the property I inquired about if the shuttle would be available on the following Monday to take me to the airport again I was told that wouldn’t be a problem they had many guests that needed the same shuttle (there are only 4 flights a day). When I double checked Sunday afternoon I was informed the driver didn’t come on that early and would need to find other arrangements. Very disappointing visit don’t advertise a shuttle if you can’t supply it

I appreciated getting a discount on the room and then they gave me an upgrade on top of that! I give the hotel a 7 of 10. The room was comfortable and had a delightful day bed that could have slept an additional person, making for the potential of 3. I was just 1, so it was roomy. A couple of the features were odd and not comfortable. The bed was rather too firm and the closet handle, for some reason was almost at floor level. The extra blanket was thin, cheap, and worn and with temperatures in the single digits the two nights I stayed, I had to crank the heat, which I prefer not to because of waste. The hallway was neat and well kept up with an attractive carpet and the paint in good condition. The lobby is pleasant. Another bonus was free parking because during the holiday season the town has free parking in the lots to encourage shoppers. It would have been a welcome touch to have free coffee in the lobby; instead they charge you $3. There is a free water dispenser to fill your bottle. I didn't patronize the restaurant so I can't comment on the food, but it is rather small, but then the lobby is also small. Overall an above average experience.

The Marriot on the Commons in Ithaca was excellent. Room, lobby, bar and especially the staff were excellent

Great location - very nice hotel and super staff

This is a great location and a wonderful area in Ithaca. The hotel is great. The rooms are spacious. I enjoyed the onsite gym and the staff were gracious. I would come back here again.
