Prince of Whales

The cottage is very small but very efficient, has everything for a few-day comfortable stay. We arrived on a very cold day and were lucky to see the attendant outside who promptly delivered an additional heater that turned an ice castle into a toasty hut. Thank you caretakers!

Recently and impeccably renovated, beautiful little cottages feature everything from cutlery to microwaves to outdoor decks and furniture. On a quiet street in a lovely neighborhood.

Quiet, cozy, clean, stargazing, near town and beach, unique, special place!

Clean, cute and comfortable. Checked all my boxes. Had all the amenities! Great price for autumn on the cape.

Very cozy little cottage. Very clean. 10 minute drive to Provincetown. No heater, got very cold. We emailed the property owner and did receive a portable heater and extra blanket a day later. Great place to stay!

The heat didn’t work it was very cold only 40 degrees in room

Had a blissful stay at Prince of Whales cottages. We stayed in a cottage with a queen bed and it was the perfect space for two people. Plenty of under bed storage to stow extra luggage out of the way and a cute little kitchenette ready to be used. The bathroom was a little tight but it did the job. We stayed in cottage 1 and the stand up shower knob is backwards (hot is cold, and cold is hot) took a bit to figure out why the water wasn't getting hot but once we figured it out it was good to go. Would 1000% stay again, especially during the off season. Very peaceful and had a beautiful view of the starry sky.

When there was an apparent issue with my payment - I contacted the property 3 times by phone & emailed twice. I finally heard back with a resolution FOUR hours before my stay. I live 6 hours away - I was already driving down without knowing if I even had a place to stay. They’re nearly impossible to get a hold of. It’s essentially a glorified shed that was turned into a tiny home. I’ve stayed here twice now & unfortunately will not be again. I’ve rented an entire house for my next stay for the same price as this cottage. It’s unfortunate because staying here was becoming a little tradition. I also found a cockroach in the bathroom on my last day, emailed the company & never heard anything back. While I understand outside bugs can come in - would’ve been nice to hear back. Ultimately it’s the lack of communication that has pushed me in a different direction for the future over anything else.

What we liked - The cottage was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette was well equipped. The private outdoor deck was beautiful. There is a restaurant that serves dinner on site, where the food and service were very good. What we didn't like - The bathroom (in the studio unit) was a bit small. We're not sure why they slopped the ceiling downward in there. But the biggest issue was with the contactless service. It was a challenge. We did not receive our check-in information by our check-in date. I called the cottages and was told we would get a call back by noon. we did not. I called again at 2 pm (by the way check-in time is at 4 pm). I was told my credit card for the second payment did not go through (not sure why, as it has a substantial credit line). Now wouldn't you think they would have reached out to us on their own when they had trouble with the payment, I guess they didn't think so. Anyway, they tried again and lo and behold the payment went through and we received our check-in information. Even though we had our issues with check-in I would still recommend the Price of Whales cottages.

Our cabin ( deluxe Queen ) was clean and comfortable. Location was excellent. The staff was friendly and very responsive. Really nice touch to have nearby beach access from "sister property " We definitely will stay here again !

Beautiful cottage. Very clean. Stove top worked . But oven did not. Microwave door did not open all the way due to the fact that the fridge was so close. All in all I would stay again. Very peaceful and great driving distance to ptown, and beaches.

The cottage was exactly as advertised. It was spotless! It could use some hooks or a place to hang clothes. A clock. And a teapot. The grounds could use the same level of detail as the cottages have received. I loved it and will return for sure!!

Pros: very clean, private, beautiful deck, grill, check-in was easy, beautiful cottage. Cons: no iron. Impossible to get in touch with someone with the number they provided. Thankfully, two of their workers were walking by and they were able to assist me. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! I Would definitely book a stay again.

Please was very small, the bed wasn’t a double bed, we can hardly fit and we are small people. No coffee, no iron…

I loved the individual cottages and especially the dedicated seating areas for each one. I really enjoyed having the dog area for my dog and made the stay with her so simple. They provided beach chairs which was a great touch!

Our cottage was very clean and well kept. It was the perfect amount of space for my family of 4. The beach chairs and umbrella provided was a nice touch. The area is centrally located to everything and it suited our needs perfectly.

Overall a great stay! However, we did notice there was painters tape along the border of the shower, with paint over it. Other notes I wish I had known: Their sister hotel beach is mostly seaweed, it was hard to find somewhere to sit that wasn't covered with seaweed. it is also 3 miles away from the hotel. There is a Keurig machine, but no k-cups. There is no steamer or iron. We were given the wrong keypad #, so we had to call the property multiple times to be let into our cottage. So a nice stay, but not worth it for us.

Nice that every unit has outdoor deck to eat outside in the summer. Great location perfect for weekend getaway
