We enjoyed out stay in Rm 231. However, we could not get solid internet connections on four of our newer Apple devices except in the pool area. A bit frustrating and probably a deal buster if we had known in advance.

Property is nice, unfortunately there isnt much sound proofing around the windows or doors, so every morning at 6 am the landing planes are very noisy and woke us up

Slick marketing photos hide the reality that this property is still a decades old motel with some surface, albeit lovely upgrades to lobby and pool area. Those upgrades and kind front desk staff can't completely make up for the very dated rooms, shoddy key card locks, old school shutterpane glass windows and the oh so lovely airline jets flying 100 feet overhead on approach to Hilo airport. Not saying don't stay here but I am saying know what you're buying.

Very convenient to the airport. It was clean, the grounds were very well cared for and the staff was very helpful. Be advised: it is an older hotel so it's not "glitzy"and it doesn't have an elevator

The bathtub stopper did not hold water at all. The overhead fan had a mind of its own, starting and stopping out of the blue.
The staff and grounds were nice but the room was a 2 star at best. On top of that there was a $25 amenities charge…we were there for 12 hours.

Would never again pay what we paid per night or even consider staying here again. Noisy, dirty, and loads of layers of paint. Got food poisoning from the restaurant. Paid three hundred a night wouldn’t even consider seventy. Bums everywhere
