The Lowell is definitely one of our top three NYC Hotels. Love everything about this property. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. Love the bar. Majorelle is THE prettiest dining room in the city. Plus the food is delicious.

This hotel is stellar….in every possible or imaginable way. From the moment you enter, to the friendly staff who remember to address you by name, to the suite decor (oh the books!), mini kitchen filled with every possible item you’d want including by not limited to fresh lemons and limes. The bath was sublime & spacious, and the bedding so soft and cozy. I’m hooked. Hotels on The Upper East Side take note! The Lowell is my forever home away from home!

My wife and I have stayed at many fine hotels in Manhattan over the years, but the Lowell may just be the best of them all! This was our first stay there and everything was perfect...and I mean everything. Every staff member we encountered was professional, courteous and very attentive to our needs. The hotel is well located and in tip top shape! We will return and highly recommend a stay at the Lowell!

Had the saddest room… 7f . No view. Beat up furniture. Poor lighting. Instant coffee. For a five star hotel…????

The Lowell is a delightful small hotel with excellent amenities and a great location. There are comfortable areas for sitting and relaxing, which is an added bonus. The staff is courteous and responsive.

Firstly, there is absolutely nothing about The Lowell that is objectionable. To put it simply: it is the finest hotel in which I have EVER stayed; here, Europe, Canada or otherwise. Perfect location, wonderful facilities, the adjoining restaurant is top-shelf; I could go on and on… The real reasons to stay here, however, are the staff. Every single worker, from the front desk to the room caretakers seem to enjoy being helpful. In my opinion, this trait is something that cannot be taught. These folks are genuinely nice, and competent. NYC is deservedly renowned for fine hotels, but personally, I would never stay anywhere else. The Lowell is like a second home to me, only better…

It was amazing from the moment we pulled up until the moment we pulled off. They spoil you. I didn’t want to leave. I came here with my fiancée for a proposal and they helped at every chance they could. The service was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. The only issue I had was with reserving the room. I was under the impression with the reservation I made that I would have a room with a terrace (after seeing an option for terrace or fireplace), but I was given a room without the terrace or fireplace. Can’t say if it was the issue of the hotel or this website, but it was disappointing either way.
