Loved the outdoor bar and Doug with all the beautiful gardens overlooking the city

We had dinner out on the patio with such a great view of the river valley. Meal was excellent. The staff all were friendly, helpful and welcoming. From the bell hop to the front desk checkin and the restaurant staff.

This hotel never disappoints. The location downtown overlooking the river valley is spectacular, the rooms are without a doubt fit for royalty and the service is top notch. Definitely the best way to pamper yourself in Edmonton.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my son’s stay unforgettable as he celebrated both his high school graduation and his acceptance as a Junior Forest Ranger. You could tell that so much thought, care, and time went into the gifts and surprises they prepared for him in our upgraded river view room. They created a beautiful, personalized “Congratulations Ranger” poster signed by staff, along with a water bottle, keychain, fruit, nuts, granola bars, bottled water, and even a complimentary “Forest Ranger’s Breakfast for Two.” The breakfast cards were printed with a special forest ranger theme and attached to pine tree branches — such a creative and meaningful touch! My son was genuinely surprised and beyond grateful. These weren’t just gifts; they were thoughtful gestures that made him feel seen, celebrated, and proud of his accomplishments. I want to sincerely thank every staff member who helped make this happen. It may be a bit trickier to get to, but it is 100% worth it. The hotel is beautiful and historic, the breakfast was delicious, the view from the garden is exceptional, but the people here are what make this place truly special.

We stayed on the golf floor. Everything was wonderful - huge props for the young lady who cleaned and made it extra cozy.

Everything was great and top notch! Mariam from Front Dest was great and sweet! Was a great experience overall, already want to stay there again, but the hotel is fully booked 😅 Everyone was nice and they brought a small treat for my wife’s birthday.

Really really poor customer service. And the food we ordered was undercooked. We would expect much better from the Fairmont.

Amazing stay

Beautiful older hotel downtown. Parking was difficult. $40 per night in a garage next to the building. We were not told by staff how to get into the garage even though we told them (and paid) to self park. We unnecessarily walked completely around the parking garage and he’d to enter as a car exited (when the garage door went up). We retraced our steps and asked the desk agent about this procedure. She apologized and said we should have been given a code for the garage. Even when we finally used the code, the keypad numbers had worn off they keypad so we weren’t certain which buttons we were pushing. When we entered the door and tried to close it behind us an unhoused person entered behind us. It was not ideal.

Wonderful stay, the staff were excellent and attentive! The entire hotel was clean, even the spa and pool. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay as well as the massage I booked at the spa. Would definitely stay again!

Room was clean. Doors aren’t sound proof. You can hear all the noise in the halls.

There was a weird clunking sound in the wall that clunked throughout the night.
