Rooms were fine. Building needs some love. Staff was great. Cleanliness suspect with carpet vacuuming not able to reach corners.

Very clean and spacious! Great stay and nice little town. Amenities everywhere easily accessible. Parking was easy.

Check-in and check-out were easy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was not operational so had to drive to find food. Easy location to access the highway. The bed was comfortable. No continental breakfast.

Great place for splitting up a road trip between AB and BC!

Nice room with good parking

I was a little concerned as the glass door to the office was smashed in and the lobby smelled very strongly of smoke, but my room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Good value for a place to stop on the way to somewhere else. Key was left at the counter for me as I had a late check in (1130).

Restaurant was closed

The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had a great sleep. There is no longer a restaurant at the hotel so finding breakfast or supper is a little more challenging. The Food shack down the road did offer some good grub. I did find the room smelled of stinky feet and suspect the carpets in the rooms have not been cleaned in a long time. But if you are just looking for a great sleep, this was a perfect stop.

I chose to stay here because I was driving to Edmonton. The hotel was OK. It definitely needs some love. If all you’re looking for is a place to sleep on the way through then this is OK The property has seen better days. The rooms are clean

On the way to Vancouver, we stayed here and the stay was okay. It was cheap, the front desk agent was fast & helpful, and the main floor room was fine for one night! However on the way back from Vancouver we stayed again, and it was a totally different experience. The girl at the front desk desk was incompetent and unhelpful, check-in took forever, and we had a room upstairs (because we got a kitchenette) & the whole upper level smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke, it burned our nostrils and throats. The walls were yellowed and dirty and the bedding was thin and old. If you need a cheap place to stay for one night, coming late & leaving early then it’s fine, but I’d recommend the main floor.

Very dirty, had to wear shoes in the room because of how dirty the floor was, the carpet was sticky. Honestly a bit of a dump. Staff didn’t even check/take ID at check in which is pretty sketchy. Very surprised after seeing the pictures on Sandman’s website and it didn’t even compare. Best bet is to continue past to Clearwater to spend the night.

The lady who checked us in was great.But our room stunk extremely bad. Carpets need to be replaced or shampooed. It smelt of wet dog. We will not stay there again.

Nothing in blue river

The room looked newly renovated. The bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable. The room was very clean. Pooja was helpful in getting the TV working and was very polite. I would have liked to see more TV channels to watch. The only thing I would have liked to see is an electrical receptacle to plug in my curling iron that had a mirror nearby. The fan was too loud in the bathroom.

The floor was super moist and the whole room felt humid & gross. We checked in late & left early the next morning, so it was fine for one night.

If you ever find yourself in blue river for the night, The Sandman Inn is quiet and clean!
