Breakfast was amazing everyday! Staff was phenomenal and very kind and extremely helpful, such as Sandip The room was always cleaned everyday and the staff was so sweet. It really was an amazing stay. Would return again!

Housekeeping needs to step up. Hypoallergic bedding should be available for a five star. No hairs on the bathroom floor. I understand it’s an old building but the room smelled like mildew.

The room and bathrooms were clean. The lobby is one of the best. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was awesome. Wish they had a better bar to hang out.

We didn't get the scheduled room booked with view. It was noisy. Room was not clean. Window of the room was defective, we had to call 2 times maintenance to fix it. Service for the lunch was horrible, half of the order was forgotten and came very late. Breakfast was terribly busy. They sent us to another place, swearing it was exactly the same. But they lied and we came back after a while to get normal breakfast. In sum up Hotel need refurbish Rooms need to be cleaned properly. And staff need training and profesionalism.

Tanmay at the front desk was proactive, getting one room ready by 10:00 AM and the second by 11:00 AM, well ahead of the 2:00 PM standard time. This exceptional effort made for a great start! Above-and-Beyond Dining: The kindness continued at Cal 27. Even though our breakfast technically began the next day, the staff didn't hesitate to welcome us. Nasir, Redima, and Naïm were absolutely phenomenal, providing amazing, personalized attention and making us feel instantly welcome. Thoughtful In-Room Service: Room service and in-room dining were prompt and perfectly executed. Housekeeping did an incredible job, leaving fresh sheets, rose petals, and a thank you note. Furthermore, they proactively noticed our request for extra water the day before and ensured we had a generous supply waiting—a detail that speaks volumes about their care. Integrity That Shines: The lasting impression was the incredible dedication shown as we departed. After checking out, a member of the room service staff ran down to the lobby to find us and return a polo shirt we had forgotten in the room. The staff here consistently demonstrates thoughtful, caring, and genuinely warm service, making our stay absolutely exceptional. We look forward to returning soon!

Rooms smell Noise Humidity

I booked The Taj for 5 star services, however i was disappointed how they handled communication where i ended up paying Rs 7000. If you need transportation services to or from hotel please take it carefully. When i brought this concern to hotel they mention they will bring this to their staff members and nothing has been reported yet. Not worth this place !!

Great breakfast choices. Clean rooms slightly tired. Comfy bed and lovely bedlinen. Club room staff friendly and helpful although service is very slow. Misinformation on check in. Checked id booked a car to airport three times during stay and got told yes yet when I attended reception at 0545 they weren’t aware of a specific booking which I had done 3 times. Very frustrating. Not up to the standards of other Taj hotels

Great breakfast Room clean but tired

Rooms are getting old. I have been staying at these property for many years and all my trips to Kolkata. But the rooms I have been originally given in Taj Club floor was very poor and old. The next day, I was shifted to the renovated room. But still the room and bathroom is not upto the Taj Standard. The Taj club was renovated as well but got smaller. Overall, my experience was not as par to many many previous experience

As always the service was fantastic and this is what sets the Taj apart. Staff really go out of the way to make your stay a great experience.

Another great stay in a Taj property where staff delivers attentive service and makes your stay comfortable. Clean rooms, lovely facilities, great choice for breakfast. The hotel is walking distance from the Victoria memorial and the metro station on the blue line. It is however regrettable that maintenance falls behind in places which is unfortunately a let down in a hotel of its class.

My parents recently spent ten days at the Taj Bengal and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making them feel right at home. Highly recommend!

The Taj met all of my expectations and way beyond. From the Senior Manager to the Duty Manager Mrs Urva all was splendid. Chu at the spa is an incredible masseuse. I felt extremely relaxed. The gentleman Kishan who serves tea is so effulgent with his smile and loving attitude. I must say my favorite person was Birmal Darnal. He was so animated and made me feel so welcome. Shout out to the housekeeping staff and the restaurant. I love it hete
