Lights and extractor fan not working in the room. Reports of worms in the swimming pool by other guests. However, we didn’t see any worms and thought the pool and leisure facilities were fine. Moved to a different room due to lights and fan not working then ended up with bed bug bites from the mattress. (Confirmed by pharmacist) wrote a complaint to hotel about this but received no response. Would not be staying there again. Expedia tried to help with some form of refund but hotel didn’t reply to them either.

Selected uncleaned areas found in bedroom , very low budget furniture used. Tv unwatchable due to pixilation on every channel. Two bus tours prioritised over other guests .went without dinner because nothing acceptably edible by time when independant travellers allowed to eat so went without dinner. Be careful and do your research before booking,this is clearly a tour bus hotel marketed very carefully avoiding fact that it is attached to a 200 hundred room conference centre.

Absolutely stunning place, that actually used to be owned by my family member, of whom I'm the last surviving one here, and I had no idea! I knew he was a well off local businessman, who I met lots as a little one in but I lost both of my parents so didn't get to know this, plus a previous generation fallout meant Set in such a beautiful setting, and really quiet. We were here over the hot bank holiday and it was very busy, but still really quiet which we were shocked about. Room was clean and bathroom was nice, only issue is our 'double' bed was actually two twins pushed together, of different heights, so my partner and I were rather uncomfortable,

The hotel was neglected, very dated, dark and depressing.

Outdated and dirty. Unhelpful staff. Food basic and horrible. Avoid like a plague

Our room was in the end 117 on top of kitchen probably, the fact of nice single glass windows and noice from fan was really bad mixture. Shower had is leaking from everywhere. + Clean -noisy. If you are deaf not a problem or ear plugs should be supplied as a standart.

Its a lovely hotel and a bargain for what you get for your money an all the facilities you couldn't get any more than you do at that price pool and spa yaw for next to nothing

Easy free parking. Check in staff friendly. Rooms whilst fine for my needs felt a bit tired and my radiator was barely working so room never properly warmed up.

Lovely hotel, had the set menu buffet style dinner which was terrible but other than that, great stay.

The property was adequate for an unexpected visit. Room was clean, bathroom functional, drinks facilities and fridge were welcome as were the towels. However, the room door was tricky to close securely and the pool/gym area was under repair which limited access. When staff were encountered they were friendly and helpful but there wasn't an abundance of available staff. Overall, an easy to use hotel - fair value for the price.

The hotel is old and tired. The directional signage is confusing. Dinner is an awful buffet reminiscent of 70s school dinners. I was advised to not have breakfast. Staff roll their eyes, or, if you enquire about a vegetarian option, quiz you on if you really are a vegetarian. If you aren't, then they tell you the veggie option should have been preordered! They do not check their messages either so if you do message the hotel, no action will be taken.

Clean room, Staff very welcoming

For the low cost compared to other hotels in the area, it was worth it. Looks grand from the outside and entrance . The room I was in, was clean but could use an upgrade in the bathroom, hole in door, old bath and shower with no plug so couldn’t take a bath. Rock hard pillows.

Staff need training on what disabled guests need. Was incorrectly given a non accessible room on checking in, then just allocated a room with shower. The restaurant was inaccessible to disabled guests. It involved numerous step (both up and down), and didn’t seem to care when I explained that stairs were difficult for me. The lift for wheelchair access was non operational the entire stay. Access to the shower was difficult.

Needs desperately tlc the grounds are a disgrace Meant to be dogs friendly but you cant take them in the bar area Rooms are clean and tidy but needs maintenance Receptionists are very attentive All staff give excellent customers service but the hotel needs more staff Fire escape was partially blocked

I reported that my room had mould on the walls but the hotel never contacted me again
