Beautiful hotel

This is an outstanding property! We enjoyed everything about our time at Lloyd’s Baia! While our room was everything we needed, it does appear that the hotel is undergoing some renovations. With that, do not look past this gem! The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful, the breakfast was outstanding and the views are breathtaking!

This hotel has positive and negative aspects to it. There is not a lot of options like this in Salerno so keep this in mind. I found our rooms to be very nice and clean with great views. The only ridiculous thing is that you cannot control the room temperature from the room, you have to call the front and they only pickup about 50% of the time, then you have to argue with them as to what they will set the temp to, very frustrating. There is a beach night club that plays music but I didn’t find it as bad as other guest wrote about but you can hear it. They hotel has an very nice beach facility that you can use but instead of promoting it and being helpful about how to reserve a chair, the staff almost seems like you are bothering them for even asking about it. This general theme of being rude and not wanting to help guests is my biggest complaint. Of course not all staff but our group truly felt like they just don’t like Americans. Every time we tried to order a drink or eat at the restaurant we were ignored. We watched parties three times our size get drinks and dinner before us and we arrived first. All and all it is not a bad hotel but if you’re the type of person that like friendly service, you will be very frustrated staying here.

The good: The staff were helpful and the views from the room were awesome. The location is good, it is a very interesting suburb of Salerno. Public transportation was very accessible. The bad: There is no way around this but to say that the property in general is in poor shape. The shower and the tub in the room did not drain properly. The room door appeared to have problems being opened or closed, and the internal doors were likewise. The adjoining beach was not very useful because of broken glasses throughout. Finally, I stayed in countless other hotels in Europe and I can rate the breakfast quality and variety to be among the lowest tiers. General advice unrelated to the hotel: Traffic in Salerno and surrounding region is heavy, and neither trains nor buses run on time. Plan accordingly.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We had a very bad experience as we we NOT aware this property was far away from Salerno, it is under construction, they are renovating the hotel and they will accommodate you in the old smelly rooms which were horrible. We were given a very hard time, we arrived late, we were hungry, they were not considerate at all. After making us view several rooms that were totally unacceptable, after discussing for like an hour we had to pay extra to stay in a renovated room. The location is not great at all, the hotel is located right next to a port, not desirable. The breakfast was just ok, you had to pay extra for eggs, very disappointing

Our stay at the Lloyd Hotel was even better than expected. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we truly enjoyed our stay. A special shout-out to Carmine at the concierge desk, who was absolutely outstanding. He took the time to carefully explain the different tour options and made thoughtful recommendations that really enhanced our trip. His dedication and professionalism truly stood out—he went over and above in every way. We loved our stay so much that we actually came back one week later for the return leg of our vacation, which says everything. The Lloyd Hotel has definitely earned a loyal customer, and we will be back again for sure. Highly recommended!

Not bad, great sea view

Lovely location, clean and comfortable rooms.

Magnificent location. Staff were very helpful and very professional. There was some ambiguity about our room booking. I thought we were getting a room with a balcony, but we only got a room with a window. Management said the class of room I booked included either a window or Juliet balcony or balcony, and that this info was made clear to Expedia before Expedia listed then on their site. I don't recall seeing anything to this effect on Expedia. So something went admiss there...

This was a very disappointing experience. We checked out of another location a day early and came to this hotel in hopes of a quiet room and good nights sleep. While listed as sound proofed rooms, ours was far from that. We were below the restaurant and the noise from moving chairs across the floor kept us up for hours. We also booked a sauna room which had little instructions and after an hour of messing around with it we gave up as it wouldn’t get to a high enough temperature to use. The elevator system is extremely confusing, some kind of map would be helpful.

Loved the beach view, beautiful hotel, great staff Did not like the noise of the party’s until 3-5am! In Saturday and Sunday! Could not open door to balcony at night to enjoy the beach waves Did not like their heavy restrictions about not being able to walk on the beach 🏖️ if you did not purchase their beach package

It was ok for 1 night; the elevator levels are a bit quirky & confusing...the front desk staff needs to be more patient & kind. very loud music in the outside/downstairs club from 2-5am which was a bit annoying when you're trying to sleep. Pizza place on the beach was great and location is walking distance to shopping and other restaurants.

Very nice facilities, we loved the views, the beach area was very good. Front desk was polite, courteous and helpful. We were there only 1 night but had a very good stay. We would come back. The walk to town for restaurants was perfect - short and safe.
