I have given a room 101 which is half below the ground level, where even daylight was very poor. Housekeeping was awful My towels were changed as I want them to change the next day.. There was a big noise coming from I guess compressor of the HVAC system all night long the noise was in the room. I was told that that is full and no change of room can be possible. I agreed for this hotel since my daughter was living very close to the hotel therefore not much choice was in the area but my last three days of reservation I couldn’t bear to stand anymore. I regret to say that this hotel should not be counted as a boutique. On my day of 10 days I paid Hotels.com the total fee in advance to compensate my claims I am now expecting a part of my payment (of 10 days) to be reimbursed my credit card. Thank you

I won’t stay anywhere else. Love this property, I’m a repeat customer and can’t wait to go back. Love the bar attached and enjoy the staff as well. Jackson is great!

Clean, good location, quiet

This is a great location. You’re close to the subway and get anywhere you need to easily. The staff was great. The only thing that wasn’t ideal was the WiFi (plan to bring your own hotspot) but aside from that we had a great stay.

nice, clean rooms. great location, easy parking behind the building. only thing is you are right by the frat houses which get super loud over the weekends, their favorite bar is the pub that's connected to this hotel. but whatever, we're not super fancy and dealt with it. just something to note if you have young kids or really need your sleep lol

I loved feeling like a resident of Toronto. I walked up the front steps to my “ home “ for the week. I had a front street view and there is no shortage of activity beside the famous Maddy’s Pub. I needed to be close to U of T campus and the Royal Conservatory of Music. Price was right.

Nice room. very clean, nice size.

Location is good. I arrived at 9:30 am to drop off my luggage, but there was nobody onsite to let me in. I called several times, but no-one answered the phone. The TV was not working most of the time. No elevator up to third floor, but luckily a kind man there offered to help. WiFi worked.

Quaint little hotel, really central, kinda kitschy, affordable.

Room was super clean and spacious, staff were so helpful, great location, I would go back anyday! My only comment was that the wifi was sometimes slow and would randomly stop working but everything else was fabulous!

It’s an old mansion. Clean but dated. Veery cool place. Huge room with fire place. Enjoyed my stay. Been there before. In summer the pub next door can be a bit noisy.

It is a great place to stay in Toronto. Close to the university.

Stayed for 1 night for Uof T Eng Skule Nite at Hart House Theatre and after event at the Duke of York. Staff was accomodating (early checkin), room clean, nice towels, bed comfortable, heating good, low noise level (at least for my stay, although they provided ear protectors in bathroom). Easy access with proximity access cards. WiFi good for streaming, although it did drop out once for a short period. Short walk to UofT St. George Campus and St. George Subway station. Easy to get around downtown if you get a Presto transit card. I came in on VIA Rail at Union Station, so easy to travel between Union Station and the Madison. Friendly Pub where checkin is located is next door, and serves good breakfast and pub grub (beers on tap, wine liqor, etc.). It's not "fancy", but a a good *** hotel at a reasonable price in a convenient downtown location.

Very clean. Spacious. Cozy. Great downtown location

I stayed for one night and almost left in the middle of the night. The room was 84 degrees. I tried to turn down the heating but could not. I closed the vents but it made no difference The windows opened onto a driveway full of garbage , old mattresses etc . I did not feel safe with it open. Did not get much sleep .The property is very tired. The toilet / sink and bed were clean. Other areas were not . Under the bed behind drawers very dirty. Doors, blinds etc.
