Attended a memorable weddng here. Everyting related the the hotel/castle worked perfectly under the management of Magnus. Fantastic location, a real Castle where you realy felt it was ours the full weekend. The only negative is how difficult/impossible it is to get hold of a Taxi. No taxis in nearby town Vara, made logistics very difficult for wedding guests arriving/departing with train to/from Vara. Suggest that the hotel set up an agreement with a local driver with a small buss.

Very nice establishment. The service is great. One thing to think of its not a cheap place to dine but you get your moneys worth.

The hotel building is absolutely beautiful, even more stunning than in the photos. The grounds and gardens are vast, offering plenty of space to walk or enjoy some golf. The only downside was breakfast ending at 9:30, which we missed since we weren’t told the time at check-in and assumed it was until 10 like most hotels. Apart from that, everything was lovely — we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return in the future.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we stayed at The 1914 Bjertorp Slott Castle Hotel. The staff were friendly, professional and the surroundings and environment are picturesque, and the interior is very attractive. There are large, cosy areas where you can sit and relax.

We had high expectations but sadly this was a disappointment. Our first impression... the bathroom was dirty and there was a toothpick left on the floor by previous guests. The sauna was also out of commission which on a rainy day was a pity. All in all not what we had hoped for.
