What I like: I would like to give a shoutout to Jackie and Felecia from Kanoo. Rose from food truck. Ricardo, Ace, Joe and Nicer from Soy. The private island and all their staff are excellent. What I don’t like: 1. I checked out on 3/22/25 but the temporary $400 temp hold during check in hasn’t been reversed and it’s already 3/31/25. I already called to make sure I don’t get charged for anything I shouldn’t have. Customer service ensured that I wouldn’t be charged but hasn’t been reversed in my card. 2. Some of the staff are not nice and are sometimes rude. 3. Some of the food items run out too early and some bars/ food trucks close earlier than what is in the flyer. They are supposed to be open at the 11pm but they say they are closed at 10:30pm. 4. I called front desk to order refill water and sodas from mini fridge but nothing came until we checked out. 5. It’s hard to schedule appointments for restaurants. Culinary dept does not answer and we had to walk to the desk to schedule. It’s unacceptable. 6. Rice is not served in the restaurant and has to be requested which is very unusual.

Half the staff was unfriendly and condescending. Rooms were unclean. We were wiping the same area in on our counter everyday, came to find out it was roach droppings. Tried to speak with management they wouldn’t speak with us. Head of housekeeping came to speak with us and she was of no help. Basically she blamed us for not telling them sooner. We had to google what it was after the second day. Room was not cleaned on a daily basis. Hotel, pools and restaurants were older and unkept

We’ve stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and Sandals Royal Bahamian was a mixed experience. The included airport transportation was convenient and stress-free. Upon arrival, we checked in early and were encouraged to explore the grounds while waiting for our room, which was nice. However, the beach lounger situation was extremely frustrating. We were told loungers were "first come, first serve," but when we woke up at 6 AM to reserve one, they were already taken. We later discovered the “butler elite” guests had their butlers place old books down the night before, later replacing them with coolers. Despite complaining to concierge, nothing changed. This felt incredibly unfair and unlike any other resort we’ve visited. As for the food, the food trucks were good, and I enjoyed the chicken pesto panini at Calico and the eggs Benedict at the French restaurant. The French fries were consistently good, but most of the food was dry and underwhelming. The beach itself was also smaller than expected, so don’t let the photos fool you. While the staff was friendly, the overall experience did not match the luxury Sandals brand we were promised. For the price, we expected much more, especially in terms of fairness and food quality.

The only thing that was bad was the wait time for food. As long as you go early to your meals before you’re even hungry, you’ll have an amazing time! 9.5/10!

I just returned from the Sandals in Bahamas. I arrived on Wednesday evening 12/11 and left Monday morning 12/16. Despite the Expedia and Trip Advisor reviews, I still decided to take a chance on this resort, as I’ve always wanted to stay at a Sandals. First off, the private island was the main reason I booked this hotel and it was closed the entire time. This was extremely disheartening. The smell on the 5th floor hallway in the East Bay building was gut wrenching. I took the stairs a few times and saw several (15 to 20) room service plates/trays stacked. This could be causing the cockroach issue. Yes - I saw cockroaches in the Queens Pearl Bar/Restaurant. In addition, pools and jacuzzis were cold and game room was super hot. Overall, my first Sandals experience was disappointing and not what I anticipated to say the least.

The property is close to the airport and the beach and property itself was nice. The major con of this resort is how it is managed and the customer service. We were only there for 3 nights and could not get reservations at the restaurants The check in process was extremely slow. Service at the restaurants and in general was sub par. As a small example, the water in our room was not restocked and I had to call 4 times before someone brought water. The best run operation at the resort was the food trucks. They were fast, friendly and offered great customer service. Other than the food trucks, service was extremely slow and the staff seemed extremely unhappy.
