I stayed at Hotel Bologna during a hot spell, and I must say the air conditioning was a lifesaver! The hotel and room were impeccably clean, and the staff was genuinely very kind and welcoming throughout my stay. The breakfast was good and provided enough options—I particularly appreciated having a vegan croissant available. However, several details kept the experience from feeling like a true 4-star stay: - Comfort & Amenities: I had a single bed that squeaked quite a bit every time I moved. The TV only offered Italian channels and lacked smart features (no option to access YouTube, which feels a bit outdated nowadays). - Noise: On my first morning, maintenance work started at 9:00 AM on the air conditioning unit in the adjacent room, which woke me up with a fair amount of noise. Overall, it’s a clean hotel with lovely staff, but a few updates and better coordination for maintenance would go a long way in matching its 4-star rating.

This is a quiet pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent with a really good choice of breads and pastries, cold meats and cheese, cereal and yoghurts and of course scrambled eggs and bacon. All good quality products. The room was very comfy and if we had been interested I think we could have watched TV in English. The hotel is near the river and about 15 minutes walk from the famous Tower. We had Pizza in the restaurant one night and enjoyed it. There is also a useful hopper that you can book to get to the airport. Really had a good experience.

Great location, perfectly placed in-between Pisa Tower and Pisa Central Station. Nice restaurant and bar & staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Loved the old style decor amd little balcony with seating. The cleanliness was also 10/10.

We had a bit of a bumpy start as our first room had very noisy bed springs and a banging outdoor door that kept waking our baby. However, the staff was incredibly helpful and moved us to a new room the very next day. While the service is excellent, they even provide a free airport transfer, the building itself needs some maintenance. Even in the second room, the bed was a bit squeaky and the soundproofing is quite thin; people are banging their doors loud at night, and we could hear neighbors talking and even snoring through the walls. A few "quiet hours" signs might help, but some structural fixes are needed. A huge thanks to the friendly team for trying their best to make us comfortable! The cleaning ladies are some of the best I met.
