Excellent family run hotel. Owners and chef have been here over 30 years. Service is great. The meals are authentic Italian and excellent.

Wonderful greeting upon arrival! Lift is small, staff brought up our luggage, so nice! Room was large and comfortable, 3 twin beds. Bathroom was huge and lovely! View was spectacular, we were on 3rd floor. Lovely breakfast buffet with large assortment - pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, meat & cheese, cereal, juices, coffee, tea. Amazing! Very happy with choice of where to stay. Easy walk to Funicular to visit Montecatini Alto.

Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk to everything in town but without the hustle. Too early in the season to enjoy the beautiful pool. Could have used a couple more pillows on the bed.

This was our midway point until Pisa. Finding the hotel was easy, and the gated parking in the back was very nice. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. We had a nice view out our (very) small balcony. The room itself was fine, comfortable, but a little plain to the eye. The breakfast buffet was good as well. A short walk to the train that goes to the top of the hill was a great day trip.

The Staff are very helpful. The location is excellent situated between Firenze and Pisa. The town montecatini is very nice, and has good local bus and train links which are very cheap which enabled us to visit Firenze, Pisa, Siena and Viareggio, we had a great time.

Hotel Torretta was just as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our city break. The staff were brilliant. They were very helpful when it came to local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for them. My daughter and I used the hotel as a base for visiting Florence, Pisa and Lucca. It was well situated as it was central to these cities. I would most certainly recommend this hotel and will definatly stay in this hotel again if I was to visit this area of Italy again.

Lovely well kept hotel. Friendly staff. Great location - about 15 mins walk from the centre - great to walk back after an evening meal. Pool very good - not too busy with a lovely jacuzzi too. 2nd time here - would definitely come back.

Spent a week in Montecatini Terme and decided to stay in Hotel Torretta based on previous good reviews. The location is great as a short 10 minute stroll through the big park in the middle of Montecatini takes you straight through to the town centre. The hotel is also just a couple of minutes walk from the funicolare which takes you up to Montecatini Alto. We planned to stay in the hotel for dinner for the first couple of nights and to seek other restaurants in the town later in week but were so impressed with the food and service that we decided to eat in the hotel every night. All in all the stay at Hotel Torretta was very enjoyable and we would gladly go back.

We booked a basic room as we were planning to be out and about a lot. The room was fine for this purpose and the hotel was extremely friendly. Nice breakfast and a good atmosphere. Would go again for sure.

I stayed a week here as it was recommended by an fellow traveller a few years ago. This hotel is so friendly and comfortable. My room and the hotel was spotless and the staff (family owned) were more than helpful in regards to everything I needed to know. This included train schedules, local events I might like to attend, recommendation of a spa, and information I didn't een know I needed! The location is great, a little uphill out of town, but the walk into the main streets is only 15 minutes. I would definately recommend this hotel in Montecatini Terme. Loved it!

The Hotel Torretto on our two occasions there, showed a continuity of service and standards that inspired confidence and a settled mind. The management and staff are courteouse and obliging without fail and the atmosphere created was reflected in the ease and mannered society of the guest irrespective of race or nationality. The site of the Hotel is one of quiet surroundings and yet within a short and gentle walk to the town centre of bustling Monticatini and but four hundred yards from the gravity defying transportation to Monticatini Alto high on a hill above the town. The easily reached Centro Station whisks one cheaply to the delights of Medival Lucca or the opposite direction to the overwhelming culture of Florence. Wine tasting in the Tuscan Hills near the birth place of Leonardo da Vinci will convince you that, after three glasses of good Chianti, that you are part Italian and the inability of the locals to understand your instant mastery of the language will prove of no real hinderance. Promise. This is 'The Italian Job'! Enjoy.

Lovely hotel. Bit 70's but very clean and large rooms. Staff were especially friendly and helpful. Lovely swimming pool as well. Would not hesitate to come back. 15 mins walk from town centre through lovely tree lined streets made it the perfect location.

Very friendly family run hotel. Reception staff cannot do enough to help: they will book tickets etc for you - whatever you need. Excellent English. Good sized pool. Dining very good - lunch and evening meal menus each day varied and very well cooked and presented, reasonably priced. However, the bathroom facilities are 3 star at best as shower cubicle tiny and water pressure very weak. This was our only disappointment during our 10 day stay. A word about the pool: the terrace and loungers are lovely but as the hotel is 5 storeys high, the pool doesn't get the sun till 12 to 1 pm and then loses it at 5 to 5.30, this is not a serious problem unless you only want to sunbathe! However, it means the water is 'bracing'!! Would recommend particularly to couples wanting a central sightseeing base.
