The location of this property is excellent. It is steps away from Bryggen and right on the harbor front. The room was very nice and the breakfast and dinners were very good. Finally the staff was five star, very helpful and extremely friendly. We would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. It was fantastic! The front desk staff was over the top nice and very helpful in getting our luggage to the room (I was on crutches). The lobby was wonderful and nicely decorated. They offered complementary coffee and tea. They also had a very nice complementary breakfast and light dinner for the guests. This was fantastic and it saved us some money. The room was nice, but the building is a little old. Elevators need to be updated.

This is a nice hotel located on the water and only a block from the main cruise ship terminal. It's you're catching a cruise, this is probably one of the closest hotels available. The room was nice, bed very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is outstanding (no water trickle that is often encountered in many European hotels). The breakfast buffet is good with a range of options. They also include dinner which is basic but satisfying.

The outdoor of the hotel is very different from the indoor. Tje room we got had views to the next building and the quality of furniture looked too basic. The sheets and bed amazing. A bonus os the extra food they provide like a light dinner and breakfast.

Every single front desk staff member with whom we interacted was cheerful, friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. Seriously the most amazing team. Our room was beautiful and downright palatial by European standards! Be sure to ask for a key to climb the tower (only about 2 flights of stairs), for a beautiful view.

Unique old building but updated for comfort. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. Dinner was ok the first night but relatively few selections. However the next two nights, dinner met expectations. Staff was friendly and responsive. The location was excellent. Many restaurants, shops, etc. very close and being by the water was beautiful.

When we arrived they were sold out. Instead of telling us this, they made up a story about how there was a booking error and showed us a conference room with no bathroom or door that would lock with a single bed on the middle of the room. We protested and after much discussion they arranged a room at a hotel across town that was a significant downgrade. No ride was offered, we were told to walk 15 minutes in the rain, late at night. I was offered no compensation, no refund, and no apologies. I tried to contact Expedia during this and whomever was on the chat provided zero help. Complete failure all around.

We absolutely loved this hotel! Our room was great, overlooking the port. The breakfast and dinner (yes, dinner!) were so good. Lots of choices at breakfast. Dinner was more low key, but several salads. They also had afternoon coffee/tea and treats. There is a wonderful tower that you can get a key to and go up and have wonderful 360 views of Bergen. The location can't be beat. The staff was very accommodating. One of our best hotel stays ever!

Home Hotel Havnekontoret is a wonderful place to stay when in Bergen. It's close to everything, plus you can walk to the cruise port. The included breakfast and dinner are outstanding, and the staff is too! I highly recommend Home Hotel Havnekontoret if you're planning a stay in beautiful Bergen.

A uniquely beautiful renovated historic structure on the central Bergen harbor. Exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful included breakfast, afternoon tea and sweets AND complimentary dinner.
