My flight had a late arrival time into Jerez Airport and my ultimate destination was Cadiz. So I opted to stay the night in El Peurto de Santa Maria at this converted Bodega. I am glad I did. Whilst the (standard) twin room was a little spartan - the bathroom was excellent, it had all the basics. I was happy with the room and the view over the central courtyard. The impressive retaurant was open until late and I had a really enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price. The buffet continental breakfast was also good. For those who want it, there is a swimming pool and sunbathing on the roof. Every member of staff was excellent and the location is just what I wanted - an easy 20 minutes into the centre of the town and 10 minutes from the railway station to Cadiz / Seville. I enjoyed my overnight stay and would stay again. 9/10 would be a fair mark.

The hotel is nice very pretty. The bed is comfortable. The staff were very nice. But that’s where the good ends. The shower leaks (a lot) and soaks the entire bathroom in a puddle. This is not a new problem the floors are damaged from it. This place is so loud. Nonstop noise. From when I arrived in the afternoon to an unbelievable more noisy evening as they started music as well. No warning when booking. No warning at check in. No one said a word that the courtyard would be full of yelling, singing drunken people late into the night.

I would have loved to give 5* because of the unique design and tranquility. Unfortunately doors haven't been maintained, they literally are crap like in 2-3* hotels. Anyone could come in the bedroom or bathroom just pushing hard the doors. We couldn't sleep well because we had to turn on and off the AC heating a few times a night. AC heats too much not respecting the set temperature. Turned off room would cool down very fast because the doors towards courtyard are crap, not sealed and won't close properly. If doors and the AC- s would be repaired, hotel would be great.

We only used the redtzurant. Luis is an excellent waiter. Food was good. Main course was not warm enough, he immediately sent it back to the chef and i got a new one, perfectly cooked. Service is slow but the poor guy was alone in a restaurant that is approximately the size of a football field ! The patio is really charming.

Service from Paco. Luis, Juan and Anna was exceptional in the restaurant. Reception staff could not do enough to help us too We found the food in the restaurant to be interesting both to look at and to taste. We looked forward to our meal times. The room was very comfortable and practical with an interesting balcony looking into the internal courtyard where you could eat. The inside restaurant was a fascinating room reflecting the bodega history of the building. The hotel is about a 20 minutes walk to the centre of town and tourist information which gave some issues as my wife has some difficulty walking that far. However, the train station is only a few minutes away from the hotel and many bus services operate from there too. We found the Linea 3 circular route bus to be a great help to reach the beaches and sites in the town.
