This hotel is very weirdly set out, there's a lot of walking involved and the signs don't always make sense. The downsides - air con in the room was very noisy and it didn't actually cool the room down! The corridor was significantly cooler than our room! The restaurant was just a shambles, both at breakfast and at dinner. There seemed to be people trying to do everything, rather than setting people specific areas to look after. The positives, the staff on the front desk were nice, the food was ok, although rather expensive for what it was. On the whole, I wouldn't stay again.

Had a great one night stay in two double rooms. Plenty of parking. Warm and welcoming staff. Great food and service in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and in the bar and outside terrace area. Used the gym which is small but well equipped. Overall an enjoyable stay and will go again.

Great hotel with large rooms and amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food and bar were excellent. will definitely come back if the opportunity arises

Rooms are ab

No air con in rooms and the price of food and drinks has got ridiculous. Shame as it’s a nice place but probably won’t stay again

We had to change rooms because our door would not lock and toilet would not flush. We waited an hour for maintenance but no one came, we had booked a meal so had to leave our room unlocked. We returned 2 hours later and still door could not lock or loo didn't flush. After discussion on front desk ( no manager available) we were given another room. This one was excellent.

I had a one night stay here for the summer solstice. The room was good, bed was nice the surrounding beautiful and serene, but the food was awful and exorbitantly priced. My order of salmon and 2 very small potatoes came in cold so I took it back. Well they warmed it for me but it got me wondering why it came cold in the first place. The waiting staff didn't seem bothered

A good note, a bit pricey for the quality of the amenities. However, in Winchester there is not much choice of good properties so feel we chose well

Excellent service. Breakfast was a bit of hit and miss with slow at refilling empty breakfast items

Wasn't what I e pected very disappointing

Large room. Good desk. Bathroom smelt a little bit of dump. Food wasn't good: cold vegetables, cold chips, rubbery pizza. Also, the walkway between the bedrooms & the bar/reception was exposed to outside temperature, making too cold / uncomfortable so had to carry a coat - a nuisance.

Everything was entirely up to standard

Unfortunately for us we arrived later in day and upon returning to our room later that night we found our bed was unclean.Also we had opened wardrobes to look for more pillows to find the previous visitors used socks. Staff were helpful in moving room but not ideal circumstances.

We arrived late and in the dark. We missed the car park because there was no lighted signs, the ones there were unseeable in the dark.

Feels like a hotel that’s bitten off more than it can chew. Lack of towels and water in the room, had to ask for more. Spa facilities good, if not a little basic. Has a touch of a school or detention centre rather than a “luxury” spa hotel perhaps. Someone in the room next door woke us up at 6am with the most disturbing guttural noises. Bordering on vomiting, perhaps near death. Hopefully they made it to breakfast. Thin walls. Staff were friendly enough and the iron was clean at least.

Br3akfast and evening bar menu were great

I had to check in late, but the receptionist was very accommodating in making sure I could check in. Rooms were very nice, just wish I had more time to use the spa facilities.
