Amazing hotel and location is unbeatable. Will stay again for sure

Great rooms!!

The heating didn’t work? So they had to put in two portable oil radiators. The sinks were badly stained. Did expect more for the money I spent.

Handy for station and taxis

Nice staff and clean comfortable room.

Fantastic. My only criticism is the poor lighting in the room. No decent light to do makeup!

Lovely room perhaps we would have preferred no steps up to the bathroom but generally very comfortable , the shower with no lower output did not suit us .

Stayed 1 night - good location, quiet + spacious room on the 2nd floor, was able to check in 3 hours early as room was ready when i came in to leave my bag in the luggage room. Decent breakfast, no complaints.

Disappointing that out of the 8 rooms booked, 2 were clearly for disabled people. We also were refused a drink from the Bar at 11.00 p.m as it was shutting.

Amenities and clean

The room was ok and the shower was at a set temperature which was not hot and mildly warm at best.

Hotel looked tired and in need of a renovation. Room had no heating/cooling options other than a portable oil fired radiator. Room was on second floor at front of hotel and noisy. Sainsbury's Local supermarket was opposite the hotel and deliveries on both nights began at 3.30am which resulted in little sleep. Not the romantic weekend away that we were hoping for. Spoke to manager in the morning whose response was 'the hotel is on a town and they can't control nise'. Not impressed. Has put me off visiting another Malmaison,

Start were really friendly, and the room was very clean. Overall a really nice and well placed hotel for Reading. We didn’t have breakfast but it all looked very nice.

Super clean, spacious, and well-appointed room. The food in the restaurant was really good as was the pub and restaurant staff. It’s so close to the train station and cute town. So much was walkable. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

I was impressed by the room

We travelled up to Reading as an overnight stay after watching England at Twickenham. Checked in online, and contacted reception in advance to see if we could leave our bags in the room at 1130. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was clean and welcoming. This is the second year in a row we have stayed here, and the accommodation a breakfast was top notch. A cracking solution to avoiding London prices and the queues for trains.
