The manager, Matt, was especially helpful & friendly. Check in was quick and welcoming. Had 2 Queen bedroom on top floor overlooking the Thames. Room was very nicely decorated, has 3 mirrors, beds excellent, lots of room. Walk in shower and bathroom good size. Many large, beautifully decorated rooms to eat in and a large patio on the river front. Lots of entertainment by the various birds on the river. By far the best hotel we've stayed in for years.

I was there for a single night in transit. The hotel benefits from having an excellent restaurant and bar. Breakfast was wonderful and Sunday night. Dinner was excellent.

We stayed in a dog friendly room and paid £25 extra for the night. I assumed that would go towards deep cleaning. Sadly not the case. The beverage area had previous splashes from drinks over the surfaces, the mugs were stained, mini bar fridge had crusted dried food on the shelf, bathroom tiles had dried toothpaste marks, towels were verging on threadbare. In fact, the towels we use for our dog are in better condition. The upholstered chair in the room had thick dust around the buttons and the rug underneath the bed was so suspect that you’d be brave to walk on it with bare feet. Just glad we only needed to stay for one night. The receptionist was very helpful, particularly because the safe in the room didn’t work and outside was great beside the river for a drink. It’s a shame some effort couldn’t have gone into room cleanliness.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were stunning, full of character, and beautifully presented. One of the highlights was the lovely outdoor seating area alongside the Thames – the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the surroundings. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the check-in process was quick and easy. Free parking and complimentary WiFi were also great added benefits. The only slight downside was that the food was a little pricey, but the overall experience more than made up for it. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

A lovely place to stay…we were staying for a Thorpe park visit which is just a 5 minute drive away. Rooms were comfy, had everything needed and great air conditioning for the heat wave! Breakfast really good too and we ate in pub one night and found both service and food to be great. Highly recommend, we will likely return!

The property is beautiful as was the room, unfortunately the tranquility was visual only. Loud music from pub was all afternoon until approximately 8 pm, and then we could still hear customer conversations. The next day was quieter but still was able to hear the restaurant customers. No sheers on window and because there is campground across the river we kept drapes closed for privacy, creating need for artificial lights. Be careful in shower, it’s beautiful but the shower floor is slippery. The pub requires you to order by app, but it was down, so had to go to bar to order dinner. Dinner was very good. note there is no phone in the room, no drawers for clothing, we had brought our own washcloths, unsure if there were some available at request. It was a decent experience, but will look at other offerings for future trips.

Breakfast was the perfect portion. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quality of food from the bar was great with reasonable prices except for alcohol.

After a flight cancellation I made a very last minute reservation for a very late night check-in. Staff was kind and accommodating. Our room was smartly decorated and spacious. Absolutely recommend.

Close proximity to Thorpe Park and High Street dining options. Clean, spacious room and efficient service from very helpful and welcoming staff.

We absolutely loved this hotel! (Visiting the UK from USA). The lobby/bar/dining area is so welcoming and cozy - love the decor. The food was great as well. Only tiny complaint would be the faint smoke odor in the room but it’s clearly an old building and they done nice upgrades to it.

Well designed, comfortable modern room with view of the Thames. Use of secure car park just next to the hotel. Ideally located for stay after visit to RHS Wisley. Great access to London by train. Excellent bar and super menu with something for all in the restaurant… All in all when topped up by super staff this is a great little hotel and deserves its burgeoning reputation! Hope to get down from Yorkshire again sometime and will definitely look to stay again!
