⭐ 1/5 — Very Disappointing Experience We stayed in a triple room, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. The single bed in the room was uncomfortably small and poor in quality — definitely not suitable for an adult. The bathroom was extremely inconvenient: the shower box was so tiny that even as a tall woman I couldn’t move without constantly bumping into the door or walls. The bidet was also impractically low, making it unusable for any of us. The worst part came at night when we discovered bed bugs in our room. We took photos and showed them to the staff. Thankfully, the older man at the reception was kind and understanding, and he moved us to a different room for the night. However, by the next morning, when we returned to our original room, the bugs were still there. When we reported this again, the woman at reception and the manager in charge accused us of bringing the bugs in, which was not only upsetting but also unfair. We hadn’t even been out that night due to the rainy weather, and these bugs clearly didn’t come from outside — they weren’t flying insects, and it was obvious the issue came from poor cleaning and old wooden furniture. After a long argument, they finally moved us into two separate rooms (a double and a single), but the whole situation was stressful and disappointing. We paid €450 for a stay that was not worth the price at all. To top it off, the pool is much smaller than it appears in the photos. There are definitely better options for the same price or even less, and I do not recommend this hotel based on our experience🤦🏻‍♀️😒👎🏼

We spent three wonderful nights in Varazze at the Hotel Residence Coccodrillo, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The hotel’s cozy atmosphere, clean and comfortable rooms, and charming surroundings made it the perfect place to relax. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast before setting off to explore the beautiful Ligurian coast. The hotel’s location was ideal,just a short walk from the beach and the town center, yet tucked away enough to offer peace and quiet. In the evenings, we loved returning to the hotel to unwind by the pool or enjoy a drink on the terrace🏖️

Good hotel for 3 stars unfortunately next to a train station but you can't hear the trains at night. Rooms are good size and comfortable bed. The breakfast is ordinary but very nice. The staff at reception at breakfast and housekeeping are very nice. I recommend staying here if visiting varraze.

The staff was amazing - they accepted us late in the evening. Despite the language barrier in some occasions - the staff made us feel like home. It felt like they were waiting for a relative to arrive. Although the parking is not on the premise of the hotel, it is close by and very secure. The man who accepted us was like our distant uncle who does not understand a word we say but made sure we parked in the right spot, we were absolutely happy and we had everything we needed plus some jokes in Italian to sleep on. Thank you for everything you did and I hope someday I can return to you.

Such nice and cute hotel,the balcony view is wonderful with the pool and small garden. Breakfast was good,gluten free options and vegan milk options were no problem. The rooms are pretty and cosy. The beach is very near (5 min walk). Nice place also for the kids (pool has a lifeguard).
