An exemplary five‑star experience. Our host for the week Kara was excellent throughout our stay. Every detail was considered, including the thoughtful addition of an extra tea bag to accommodate my preference for stronger tea. The room — and indeed the entire establishment — was immaculate, fresh, and warmly inviting (the locally produced crockery was a nice touch). Breakfast offered a variety of options, each prepared to a consistently high standard. The scrambled eggs with salmon were particularly noteworthy. A further highlight was the morning toast, made with Kara’s homemade bread that set the tone for the day. The overall experience was so impressive that we confirmed our booking for next year before departing. Highly recommended — a genuine 5 ⭐️

Convenient place to stay, not too close to the touristy part of st ives but convenient for the beach and coastal paths.

The owner was absolutely lovely! I had some inspiring conversations with her when I was breakfasting on my own about some travel destinations that interest me and that she has been to. I couldn't fault this place really other than I was staying during unprecedented heatwave and my attic room was very hot. Something that cannot be helped though, I appreciate!

Room was clean, tidy and comfortable, we even had a small courtyard to sit in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Able to park on the street outside. Shops and harbour were in walking distance and there was a golf course opposite. Lovely breakfast that set us up for the day. Would definite stay again and would highly recommend.

A fabulous find. So conveniently situated for town centre, beaches, shops and restaurants. There is a car park opposite £10 for 24 hours. The landlady is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was lovely and the amenities in the room were very good. A lovely comfy bed! Highly recommend it

Ideal location for exploring Bude on foot, close to the beach for families. The host was excellent, friendly and the breakfast was great.

Absolutely super guest house. It felt very homely with our room being spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was also super and hosts very friendly. We will definitely visit again.

Very homely

Kara is a charming Host and most welcoming to her guests. All the information is provided in the rooms for the local area. Breakfasts were really good each morning & set you up for the day ahead. Sunrise Guest House is well located in town & so close to the sea/ beach with a great Golf course opposite. Parking was never an issue. There's an abundance of places to have coffee, cream teas & dinner within walking distance & so much to see & do before venturing further out of town. Would recommend Sunrise GH for a stay in Bude.

The best place to stay in Bude. Beautiful, clean rooms (including a bar of Dairy Milk 👌) and I can highly recommend the breakfast.

Lovely friendly host and room and breakfast was very nice.

A lovely B & B opposite the golf course. We had a decent size room at the front, with a good bed, shower in a room decorated to a very good standard, The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. Parking is limited to 2 hours between 9 to 6.

Spotlessly clean. My single room was nicely proportioned and perfect for my stay. Bath towel better than most 4star hotels I’ve been in. Full English breakfast (other options available) was one of the best I’ve ever had - perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. In March I didn’t have any problem parking in the street.

It’s proximity and convenience for us - and the help offered was superb. We’ll be back in Bude a few times this winter and had Sunrise been open we would have stayed there.
