The bedroom and bathroom were lovely & spacious with loads of storage. The food was excellent, service was a bit slow at dinner but well worth the wait, best proper chips we've ever had in a hotel. Limited parking but we used free car park opposite at the Village hall. Large garden at rear with plenty of seating and parasol, slabs were a bit uneven in places.

An historic place with modern accommodation making your stay relaxing, pleasant and enjoyable. The hosts are excellent. Great for the coastal walk. Recommend

Nice room and very helpful staff. Confusion about breakfast booking plus the fact that the pub was closed on Sunday evening not very good.

Plus points: Food excellent, very large portions too. Staff extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Minus points: public accommodation areas tired and require maintenance and cleaning (particularly the carpets). Some small issues in the 2 rooms we occupied (eg. broken blind). However, the staff did their best to resolve any complaints we had and excelled in their customer service. The food at dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Overall, we were very happy.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Had an excellent breakfast and, although I didn't eat in the evening, the menu looked very appealing. Good atmosphere in the bar and generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. All in all a positive experience.

What a wonderful gem! The staff were so lovely and helpful, the room was huge with a beautiful view, and I absolutely loved the breakfast, you can really tell how much care goes into everything. I would highly recommend the Hood Arms. Thank you for such a lovely stay! My only suggestion would be to add a full-length mirror 😉

Parking outside the pub was full but there is a small village car park on the opposite side of the road to use. The mattress was extremely comfortable and the room well presented woth a great choice of teas, coffees and biscuits available in the room. There are a few walks that can be done straight from the pub. I was doubtful about staying at a pub but this place was excellent.

Bed was massive and so comfortable, as were the pillows. Great breakfast, including a crispy hash brown. Lovely area. Free parking. We sadly didnt have time to eat in the pub but the menu sounded great. The main member of staff very kindly dropped us to a venue where we left a car the night before, this act of kindness is very rare and we massively appreciated it. We hope to stay again! To make it easier for guests i would recommend they include an info sheet in the room as we didn't know the wifi password and were in a black hole for signal, and also include local taxi numbers etc.

We had a lovely stay at The Hood Arms. The owner was so friendly and hospitable, letting us have a late check in. We slept brilliantly and had a very nice full English breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend!
