A lovely welcome on arrival, shown to our room which was very clean. Breakfast was excellent, was able to order what you wanted on your cooked breakfast with a choice of cereals in the dining area and coffee or tea of choice. Staff were excellent and lovely hosts. Only four spaces for cars bit tight but not great problem. Would definately recommend.

A real gem in an ideal spot for visiting St Austell. Private off street parking and handy for the railway station. Very easy to get around town on foot from here. It's a lovely characterful, well maintained 1920's property. The room was huge and the bed wonderfully comfortable. Probably had my best sleep away from home in years. Bathroom as everything else was spotlessly clean with a lovely big powerful shower. The hosts were very welcoming through out my stay and the fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning was the perfect end to my time in St Austell and set me up very nicely for the day ahead.

I think that this B&B is modelled on a "Blackpool Guest House" from the 1970s? We rang the bell to be met by a young women with bare feet, who took us to our room, told us to fill out a form for breakfast and showed us where the guest entrance and exit was, and we were not allowed back through the front door again?! This turned out to be the fire escape with fairly steep exposed metal stairs, over a wet roof - not exactly great for anyone of advancing years or with any sort of disability. She then disappeared, never to be seen again, apart from when she delivered the cooked breakfast, without a word. The whole place is filthy - dirty with marks on the walls, skirting boards and carpets. The bathroom has not been properly cleaned in years, the shower is filthy - do NOT touch the toilet brush - it is disgusting with accumulated human waste from at least the last 12 months! The bed and other furniture are completely clapped out, the mattress has two troughs like concrete, on each side, which you cannot help but fall into and the winceyette velour under pillow makes me shudder, as I'm sure that the bedbugs are multiplying daily! Breakfast is to the lowest value standards, with basic bread, orange juice and all other ingredients. Everything in the cooked breakfast was overdone. Nobody asked whether we were happy, satisfied or anything else, so we had no opportunity to discuss these dreadful shortcomings and we left by the "Guest Exit" and put the keys through the letterbox.

Perfect and friendly place to be based while visiting the Eden Project. It is also near the train station and a fab brewery.

This was the second time I chose Gwyndra House as had such a nice stay the first time. The lady who runs it is fantastic, friendly and always willing to help. The B&B is very near to the train station but you don't hear anything from the rooms. The rooms are clean and spacious, and as there are only 3 rooms, you really feel like you're being looked after. The breakfasts are amazing and highly recommended. I look forward to going back again.

Happy to have chosen 'Gwyndra' for our first stay on our travel to Cornwall. Place was amazing, we were taken through the process of accessing our room and facilities (which was amazing 😍) Room was roomy, bed was nice and would go back there again. Adelaide and her family were an Amazing Host. Thank you. The Breakfast was the best we had in our 3days visit to Cornwall.
